SOURCE: No cold air coming from the registers.

If your compressor is running outside (low hum noise) then your probably need freon .If the compressor is not running could be a bad cap or bad compressor

SOURCE: Looking for reset button on compressor

Sorry no easy answer if any of the safety switches tripped you have major problems. If your fan is coming on when switched to fan on then your problem migth be outside in the condenser. Check your power and breakers going to the condenser.

SOURCE: Air Conditioner isn't making the house cold at all

My AC works great, cold air coming out of the vent (about 63*) intake working well also. (about 76* in the middle of the day)
Think it could be the insulation?

SOURCE: American Standard blower will not run

Sounds like motor has failed. If the red light is blinking it may be telling you what is wrong by the number of blinks. It maybe locked out for some reason or loose wire. Try turning off breakers to inside unit for 5 mins and try again, this may reset unit. But it sounds like a bad motor or circut board. Try running with stat in on position instead of auto in cooling mode.

I have American standard heritage 11 heat pump with the coils inside btw it's a double wide I was wondering where the fuse might be located

There will be a box that the unit gets power from, either up on the roof or on the side of the home, the fuse or circuit breaker will be in there.

My heritage 14 unit has stopped running.we had the thermostat set at 69 and came home to find that it had stopped running.

Is the indoor fan running? check the breakers and reset as needed. also check the tstat . you should find a disconnect next to the outdoor unit some have fuses and some just are a copper bar device . If it has fuses check them .. if not you may have fried the transformer or the capisitor has failed. You will need equipment to check it let me know if this helps Jon

Where is the reset button

If you turn the power off and wait a few minutes some
units will reset on their own. If not turn your fan from auto to on if the blower comes on that is good news.

The only reset on the ac side of is the compressor overload and the high pressure cutout which you need to be able to get to the compressor find the
refrigerant lines and push it in.

NOT a problem--preventive maintenance is my goal. I kept my Payne heat pump (installed in 1985) humming nicely until this January. I only replaced it because of cost/efficiency issues ($$$) every summer....

By code, whoeve installed this brand new unit should
have left the manual with it. Check the electrical
control box or the fan compartment to see if a manual
is not in there

American standard thru-wall heater air conditioner (PTEC1501GAA) will not heat. When wall mounted thermostat is turned up for heat, the fan turns on but no heat comes out. I opened it up and checked the...

sounds as if the heater coil itself is burnt out. These coils may be repaired if you can get an universial coil repair kit and rewire the heater coil yourself. Since the age of the unit is in question I don't know if it is possible to get a kit for repairs but you never know. I would check an a/c supply house for this kit. Good Luck on your repairs
