My freezer is still freezing, but only the bottom half. The top half is completely defrosted. The green light on the front stopped working a long time ago. It doesn't sound like it ever 'clicks' on or a fan is running. Where should I begin and continue looking for the issue?

Have you cleaned the coils underneath or in back of the unit?

This type of freezer has few controls to malfunction...is the compressor running? if it is...then, its most likely a sealed system problem....if not running...find the cold control and jump out the connectors..if it off due to bad control..this will bring it back on. the other thing that could keep it off is the relay..again, if cold control ok, then remove relay and shake it..if it rattles..its bad, This you need to actually replace. there is no temp fix...if everything I mentioned is okay and freezer compressor is actually running...its most likely a system failure and usually its one year from date of purchase
