We had a power outage and the washing machine was on and when the power eventually come back on the machine beeped then the display screen has disappeared. The machine still turns on and works but I'm unable to see what settings it is on. Do I need to get a new screen panel or is there another way of fixing this? We've had our machine for 7-8 years and this is our very first problem with it.

Hi Dale..
It sounds like you have a leaky inlet valve assembly. The part number is 421029P and is easy to replace. You can get one here:

Disconnect the washer for few minutes (5min) then connect it again and press cancel, before you start any cycle, good luck

could b faulty control module. when pump jams or seizes on these machines it usually causes a fault in control module.whenever i found a control module faulty i always checked the pump for cause of fault.

Most likely something stuck in the pump, you need to look underneath to get to it, the pump turns anti clockwise to remove it.

the code error (49) is telling you that the inlet valve is not working make sure the hoses are not blocked. if you have fitted the valve and is still not working then i would try using the unit on cold if it still does not work then there must be a short in the p.c.b control board.
hope this helps a little more
