Monitor Failure After an electrical storm my monitor would not come on. The green LED light is flashing and you can see a faint hint of the unit lighting up but goes back out. Nothing else on my system was effected by the storm. What could be the problem?

Your system was not affected because the PSU can prevent power surges. Your monitor's backlight has went out due to surges in electricity to your monitor. Unfortunately, you can not replace the backlight. I would suggest you buy a new monitor. 19" LCD Monitors has have went down dramatically in the past month.

A125 monitor is dark

If your laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LED flashes, then the problem is probably a back light fault. This can be a faulty inverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. Please click on this link and follow my instructions to identify the fault and possible fix :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3598095-faulty_laptop_lcd_screen

Monitor come on for a few seconds then goes black, green signal light stay on green. can you help

the monitor may be losing the back lite. take a flash light or bright light and shine it at the screen after it goes black. can you see a faint picture? if so the back lite has failed. usually the cost of replacement exceeds the cost of a new monitor but there are a couple of web sites that detail the replacement of the "ccfl" cold cathode flouresecent light.

The monitor is plugged into the power, and connect...

Guest, You will need to "sub-in" a known-good monitor to prove your pc is working ok! If pc is ok, then plug-in bad lcd monitor and check ( test ) it with aid of a bright flashlight to see if you can see a very faint image of the WIN-desktop being displayed on the now "black" LCD panel. Every owner of "cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamp back-lit lcd monitors should know the "flashlight test" and understand what the results of this very basic test mean. Do some reading in my old (louie12fix) profile to learn how to do test. Hint: The very first thing I would investigate inside the unit would be the unit's "switch-mode-AC to DC-power-supply/ccfl electronic ballast circuit for the top two causes of power supply going into "partial or full" shutdown mode, trying to SAVE itself from a nonrecoverable catastrophic failure. e.g. sparks, smoke, fire!! 12fixlouie

Hanns-G HC194 monitor, no screen, led is flashing in green

hello,

The green flashing power led is a standard symptom of a failure in the power supply board. We have an article about how to repair this unit posted on our web site at: http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/repairing-a-hanns-g-hc194d-with-flashing-power-light/ If you can solder then you should be able to do the repair yourself, if you don't want to do the repair we do offer a repair service, that information can be found here: http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/service-request-form/

I hope this helps you out, if so please rate our solution.

If the signal cable is detachable from the monitor, you could try with another cable... Regarding the power, I' not an expert, but if you're familiar with electronics basics, like risks of high voltage, soldering, etc, and you'd like to experiment with the unit, then I can give you some hints.

Sir Help me with my Compaq monitor MV520 it won't turn the power led flashing orange to green continously

it could be th epower supply and it could be the monitor.
power ON button should not flash orange regardless what you do. it should stay green. then orange. not orange to green to orange.
try the monitor on another PC if you can fine one.
the other thing is are the 2 monitor similar (CRT to CRT and LCD to LCD), you can't mix the the two, they will work but need different video driver to function correctly.

Cornea 15" monitor

If possible, try a new video cable. If it does not correct itself with a new cable, the problem is not serviceable. Flat screens do one of three things: inverter will go out (no light), line input board signal failure and power supply low volts on 12v B+.
