Bosch bought out skill years ago. I just got off the phone with them. There are no parts or manuals for a model as old as that. Sorry.Bosch bought out skill years ago. I just got off the phone with them. There are no parts or manuals for a model as old as that. Sorry.

Question edited for clarity, wrong type of 'skill' > 'Skil'.
Question moved from 'Laser Airlines'!
Model Numbers are needed for definitive answer, but just generic descriptions given so generic answers supplied.
Is it a three wheeled band saw? I can't find a manual or parts diagram. Check Skil's website. They don't have manuals available online for older band saw but you can call them. I have an obsolete band saw too and I bought aftermarket band saw guides for it on bandsawparts.com . I think they don't have for Skil saws.
This saw requires Skil's heavy-duty, worm-drive oil, part number 80111. If you can find a local vendor that has some great otherwise, type 'skil 8011' in your search engine and shop around for an 8oz tube, they can run from $5 to $10 plus shipping.
Basically, anti-foam gear oil is regular oil without a detergent additive. I wouldn't play around and get any oil, since your mag77 is a nice piece of equiptment, but I understand that Skill will charge a premium for their oil. If I were you I'd spend the few extra bucks to be sure I have the correct oil.
All I could find out is that your skil bandsaw is made by the Bosch Bench tool co in Mount Prospect, Il. The owners manual from skil shows the part you need as #6 lower blade guide, and Lowes does handle this line of Skil. I would suggest contacying Lowes or the store you bought this from and getting the consumer help phone number from them. They have to have this part available as I am seeing a lot of these units refurbished, so someone has the parts to them. Hope this helps and good luck. Marvin
You can find most product/tool manuals at the manufactures website. I have provided a link to the manual for current model of bench-top Band Saw by Skil.
I have a Skilsaw model 77 type 16. I have the original owners manual and would be willing to fax you a copy.
The manual only lists a part number for the gear oil, it is No. 249. This is for a 5-3/8 oz tube of gear oil. I checked with my local hardware store which services this saw and they called a factory rep. They told the hardware store with shipping and handling it would cost about $17 for the oil! However they also said that a 90 weight gear oil is close enough to solve the problem.
Hope this helps.
