SOURCE: HP w2007 monitor will not turn on.

The only troubleshooting step I can offer here, is unplug it, and press the power button down for about 15-20 seconds, to flush any trickle power remaining in the unit. Then plug it back in, hook it up and try turning it on again. If this solves it, great! If it doesn't though, then I would check either with HP directly or with your place of purchase to see if your issue can be covered under limited/extended warranty. If you are out of warranty though, LCD repairs tend to jump pretty high, and usually end up being more than what the monitor is worth, so it may be more economical to replace it at that stage.

How do I troubleshoot an unresponsive HP LCD monitor?

The easiest thing to do is find another monitor to plug in to determine if it is the monitor or the computer. Just because something has been stored does not mean that something fried the first time you plugged it back in. LCD monitors are notorious for having bad capacitors.

I have a LG computer moniter and it just wont turn on i press the power button and the blue power light doesn't even stay on for a second

First Check your AC Plug if it is perfectly inserted. if inserted perfectly and still doesnt work, try using a working ac plug to check if your AC plug was the problem. If the monitor still doesnt work try checking you video card. Remove your video card and try cleaning the gold bars using a White Eraser. Insert the Video Card Back in and try running the computer. If it still doesnt work that means your monitor is the real problem.

I have a lcd monitor problem, it wont turn on. the little light thats suppose to light up when you plug the monitor doesnt light up.. when i press the power button the green light appears for a sec and the...

sounds like a power issue with the monitor. try to remove and reconnect its power cord. If same thing happens, try using a confirmed working power cord like the one you use with the computer and make sure you test it out using a confirmed working power outket. If it has the same issue, would mean you need to get a replacement monitor. Refer to the vendor if it is still in warranty.

LCD Monitor will power in and when connects to modem the power button is green then turns orange, what is the problem?

When the monitor button turns to yellow that means the monitor is on standby mode. Try rebooting the the computer after you have connected it to your modem. If the light goes to yellow again check that the computer is on and that all the cables are connected properly. HP Computer monitors are a little confusing, Sometimes depressing the power button again while it is yellow will turn it on and should so green.

Nothing happens when I press the power button on HP vs17 lcd monitor.

You might want to check and make sure that your power is plugged in [obviusly], next check to make sure that your data cale is properly connected or that your computer isnt in stand-by mode or hibernation. When your monitor doesnt receive data to display it goes into 'power saving mode' which simply is this 'Wake me up when you have something you want me to show'. SO try and unplug your your AC power for a bit and while doing that double check that your data cables are 'thumbs up' then reconnect your AC and try powering up. If all this doesnt work, and you're using a graphics card to send input to your monitor, check your graphics card, or try and listen for any fan noises just to make sure your computer has life...
