My Galanz mircowave started showing Code 310. Some of the touch pad keys work but most dont. When I hold down a function key it either does nothing or double beeps. I have unplugged it several times and the first two times I plugged it in the Code 310 appeared and nothing worked. The third time it seemed to reset itself so I entered the time for the clock, then tested it on a bag of popcorn. After two minutes the code 310 appeared. The stop/reset button didn't work and I had to unplug it to clear the remaining time. The light inside works and it is on a 20 amp breaker which never trips. I have tried to find the meaning of the 310 code on the internet but have had no luck. Thanks in advance for any help

Okay, thank you for that.
You have a failed membrane keypad, but on this model, it is not available separately.
You would need to order the control panel assembly, part # WB56X10817, which you can get here for far less than GE charges.
It costs more than just a membrane would, but is much simpler to replace.
At
our Web site, we have a video
available showing how to remove a typical
over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.
Then you remove your circuit board from the old frame and install it in the new frame.

F3 on a GE / Hotpoint
microwave means you have a shorted membrane keypad. It can be intermittent.
On some models, the keypad can be replaced as a separate part.
If you (or someone you
know) might want to replace it yourself, I have uploaded a handy guide with pictures showing you what's typically
involved.
But on some GE models, the membrane keypad is not
available as a separate part, so you would have to order the control
panel frame assembly which comes with a new keypad.
In this case, you simply
move your circuit board into the new frame. That is a simple do-it-yourself
job.
