Horizontal line on output

When an original is placed in the paper feed and a copy is made the copier adds a horizontal line just above the middle of the page. If no original is present and you press the Copy button no line is added.

SOURCE: AR-206 copying problem / paper comes out slanted

There could be somthing in you ADF that is keeping the copy from going in properly. Your tires could need cleaning or there could be something going on with a component in the ADF.

Sould have a technician inspect the ADF to see if it needs cleaning or parts.

SOURCE: horizontal black and white lines are coming on copy

you don't mention whether the document you are copying also appears on the paper. If it does you could have 1 of 2 problems-
The drum cleaning system could be at fault or-
the fuser roller has picked up some **** easy test...... run copies and when the 1st copy edge appears switch OFF. This is a crash stop. Now examine the sheets in there. Is the stripe on the copy before the fuser (Heat) roller? If yes you could have a drum cleaning problem, usually fixed by changing the drum module. If no and the stripe appears after the heat roll, the problem is with the fuser system, dirty rolls etc. There are a number of other problems with stripes, but you have to start somewhere! If the document does NOT appear on the copy, forget all above, could be scan or ROS problem

Horizontal line on printed page

When you use the flatbed the copy is perfect because the ccd sensor is under the glass cover and obviously is free form dust/ dirt.
On the other hand if you use the feeder the ccd sensor is located in between the roller assembly (not sure exactly for this model).
This means that the page is scanned by the ccd in the feeder, any dirt on the ccd will appear as a black line. I assume that you are feeding papers from the side and not from the top that is why you get a horizontal line.

A quick test to see if the ccd sensor is dirty is to feed the paper from the top side to the feeder. If you get a vertical line it is a proof that your ccd sensor needs to be cleaned.
The worst case is that the sensor in the feeder assembly has a tiny spot that is damaged and it is causing the black line.
So , first try the test, then open the feeder assembly, locate the ccd and clean it. Hope that this helps.

Full page is not copied

Hi, did you place paper in tray also horizontal? the paper in tray and on glass must be horizontal if you want to copy A4R size.

DO NOT forget to adjust the blue paper size indicator on paper tray to A4R also.

Also under user mode, under copy sett. you can find option for auto rotate, so copier will adjust size automaticaly.

Horizontal streak

Clean the scanner strip glass. This is the small strip of glass that is just to the left of the large main glass. This is the only cause for black line (s) when copying using the ADF(top feed). If prints or copies fine from the glass then it is this strip glass needing to be cleaned.

My copies are coming out with a horizontal black line through the middle of the page. I have a cannon C330D copy machine. And would like to fix this myself if possible. Any suggestions?

If you can wipe off the line with your hand its probably your fuser roller or pressure roller thats need to be changed. IF the line is fused properly and cannot be wiped away you might have a damage drum unit.

When I print three horizontal lines on the paper even I changed new original drum.

Hi!

There are so many possibilities due to which you may get horizontal lines while printing. Please check these one by one---

1. The corona wire in the cartridge may need cleaning, although the one in the printer is usually at fault. The corona wire can be reached through the top front slot of the cartridge. Use a Q-Tip.

2. PCR (charge roller) is loose or defective in cartridge or defective toner bin. Change the cartridge as it will get worse.

3. The moisture content of the paper could be too high. Store paper in a temperature controlled area.

4. The transfer roller could be going bad. This is the spongy feeding roller in your printer which is right under the cartridge head when you put it in your printer. You can replace the roller yourself, for under $20.00.

Please do rate this solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance.

Our minolta cs pro copier is printing copies with a horizontal black line. i have a feeling that the drum needs to be cleaned/

When you say you are getting horizontal lines which way is the paper coming out and what way are you looking at the paper? I could very well be the OPC drum & drum cleaning blade, or it could be the upper fixing roller. If it is really horizontal you may have a problem with your developing unit. It's hard to guess

Copies print with horizontal lines

thin lines? spaced about 1.5 inches apart could be toner left on the drum, take the cartridge out turn it over and retract the shutter, manually turn the drum using your thumbs on the edges of the drum, do you see thin lines on the drum? sometimes something sticky gets on the drum attracting toner and then it transfers to the paper during the copy process
