At first, when the electricity turned off, the red light would not come back on. I unplugged the tv and waited, then plugged it in again and it would work fine... This went on for a few months until finally, another power outage and the tv will not reset itself and work.. I have read that it might be the main processor or a bad capacitor. I took the control box cover off and the capacitors are not pushed out. If someone could specify which board to change, I would appreicate it...
This may be a liitle more informative to you....if you haven't already read it. This fixed my problem, I had 2 blown caps.
Hope this helps!

I have a similar problem except in my situation, this happened all at once (not on and off and finally off).
When I plug the cord in nothing happens, I used the remote as well as the knobs on the side on unit. And the most important difference is that I am not "technically oriented" so I haven't opened the unit up but if anyone has any suggestions / advice I would appreciate it other wise it probably is going to wind up in the trash. Thanks, Bob
