Whirlpool Gas Dryer keeps running on auto dry setting

I recently moved my Whirlpool Gas Dryer Model LGR6646PWO and now the dryer never stops running when set on automatic dry.  The clothes are dry, but the selector never budges and it continues to run.  The dryer operates perfectly on timed drying.

When you moved the sensor wire on the moisture sensor may have fallen off.
Remove the front panel and locate the wire and the connection. It will be on the right side near the lint filter vent. If it is still connected your timer has gone bad.

Gas dryer heats at first then take forever to dry, auto dry setting does not advance

If it works to begin with and fails afterwards then that can only be them solenoids mounted on the gas assembly. Here is my home video which shows how to check and replace:

Estate TGDS680EQ3 gas dryer blows cold

The timer is stripped inside and needs to be replaced. The cogged teeth are made of plastic and a tooth or two has broken off keeping the timer from moving while running

I have a Whirlpool Estate dryer Model TGDS840PQ0. During auto sense, the timer will not move. But during a "time dry" session, the timer seemse to work just fine. Any ideas?

in auto the timer will not move if there is no heat, when the heat stops the timer moves, heat comes on timer doesn't move, when it's on auto make sure power is going down to the heating system, next time send model number and if it's gas or electric, good luck

Whirlpool model LGB6000KQ1 gas dryer runs but has no heat only cool air. The timer when set to timed drying, moves down to off position, but does not shut off. Please let me know what parts may be faulty...

If the timer advances to OFF and does not stop you have a bad timer. It could also be the cause of no heat. Replace the timer first. If still no neat replace the glow bar ignitor.

Gas dryer does not provide heat or air

If you don't have heat the timer will not advance in auto dry. The first thing to check is the glow bar ignitor part number 279311.

Whirlpool Gas Dryer, LGR5636EQ2, timer not moving on Auto (DryMis

If that is a 3 wire gas assembly then the timer is screwed. The orange wire when removed from the mix will make the thing advance. The trouble is in the timer. If that is a 2 wire gas operator you need to change the high limit and open up the outside vent. My opinion.

Autodry cycle never stops

hi thanks for the question ther is a thermostat on the air duct at the back of the dryer it has 2 wires at ends and 2 wires in the middle smaller ones this thermostat opens to turn off heat and the small wires on this thermostat when the heats shuts off then power goes to the timer and not before if it shuts off on timed dry timer is ok i would vacuum the dryer make sure all the vent right to the outside is clean as air flow restriction can cause this problem thanks the appliance doc
