Simple solution would be to delete personal destinations, then change home address to a landmark (i.e. Nelson's Column Postcode for SatNav: SW1) and set thepassword to change this to a simple 0000 or 1234 ect...
what do you exactly mean ? you can search by Postcode search, for each digit you enter, the potential value list get reduced and when complete and correct, you have it.
I am STILL trying to download the latest Wester Europe Maps to my Go 700. But I have found this answer to your question. Any tips on how I down load the v7.20 to my TomTom? good luck.
When navigating to a location in the UK or The Netherlands you should be able to enter full digit postcodes.
If you are only able to enter 4 digits, follow the instructions below.
Download the file below and save it to your computer.
wezipcodes715.zip (10.5 MB)
Extract the contents of the downloaded file to your desktop (on PC right-click the downloaded file and select Extract to).
You will now have a folder called 'zip' on your desktop.
Connect your TomTom device to your computer.
If you are using a PC click Start > My Computer and double-click the icon for your TomTom device.
If you are using a Mac click the icon for your TomTom device on your desktop.
Copy the complete 'zip' folder to your TomTom device.
Note: The 'zip' folder should be copied to the 'root' of your TomTom device. This means not inside one of the folders.
- Navigate to - Address - Street and house number - In the "City" space at the top, type the postcode. (tap 123 button bottom left of keyboard to get the number pad) - You will see a list beneath of the countries that use the postcode. - Tap the country you want. - You then see a list of streets in that postcode area. - Tap the street name (or start typing it in) - Type in the house number.
