SOURCE: Mounting a sonor/transducer on a MinnKota Riptide ST

Did the unit come with a strap to mount the transducer to a bow mount electric? Most units do... If not there is probably one available for the unit as an aftermarket accessory or accessory from the manufacturer... Regarding the transducer wire, just wrap and rout this up the front of the bow mount motor shaft so when you pull the motor up and secure it, it is not going to get in the way. You could cable tie the cord down near the bottom of the shaft and one up near the top where they wont interfere with the motor bracket when the motor is positioned up on the boat.

My trolling motor- 2007 70# Minnkota Powerdrive V2 seems to lose track of where it's at. I replaced both control boards and it still wanders off.

If you have already replaced the control boards and the trolling motor still seems to lose track of its location, there are a few other things you can check:
  1. The propeller may be damaged or bent, causing it to steer off course. Inspect the propeller for any visible damage and replace it if necessary.
  2. The motor's GPS sensor may not be functioning properly. Check to make sure the sensor is clean and free of debris. You can also try recalibrating the sensor according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  3. The wiring connections may be loose or corroded, causing intermittent power to the motor. Check all wiring connections for tightness and signs of corrosion, and clean or replace as necessary.
  4. The foot pedal or remote control may be malfunctioning, causing the motor to steer off course. Check the foot pedal or remote control for any damage or loose connections, and replace or repair as necessary.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may need to take your trolling motor to a professional repair shop for further diagnosis and repair.

The wrong user manual was packed. The one that I got in the box was the "CE Master User Manual for TRAXXIS Transom mount motors". I don't know how to install my V2 Bow Mount motor.

Not sure of the exact model for yours, but here is a link to a website with a few free manuals: http://www.minnkota.com.au/support/user-manuals/motor-manuals/powerdrive-v2.html
To view the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated. Once there click on the link to your model and then you will see contents of that Owner's Manual. You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents. You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary. Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there. Good luck.
