Frezzer is only 2 yrs old and already has defrosted on its own what seems to cause that?

This machine has an automatic defrost cycle that comes on automatically 4 times a day. During defrost the compressor goes off and the heaters inside come on and melt the frost from the coils. In about 20 minutes heat shuts off and compressor comes back on and freezes againl

Check the condenser fan. Clean the coils. Report your findings. It the compressor hot? If so check the relay.

RFA52 upright fridge freezer keeps frosting up.what is the 'normal' setting for the freezer 0 or 1?

Setting should be midrange. If the freezer is frosting on the back panel you have a defrost problem. The coils will be iced over and the unit will slow down on it's cooling. If there is frost you will need to deice the coils by removing the frezzer back wall panel and use a hair dryer to melt all of the ice. The problem causer of all this will be either the defrost timer, defrost t-stat or defrost heater. Good luck.

There is frost in the freezer. I thought it was frostless.

If you live in a humid environment its the water vapor in the air that is turning to frost in your freezer. Every time you open the door you are exchanging the cold dry air in your freezer for the humid air on the outside, and when you shut the door closed its this humid air that turns to frost inside the freezer. If its building up frost faster than normal you might have a door gasket that is leaking the cold air outside thus letting the humid air in, which is turning to frost. Check that your door is aligned properly and that the gasket is secure on the freezer door.

Hope this helps explain it.

Bosch Frost Free Frdge Freezer Icing Up

Switch off fridge. Put a pedistal fan in front blowing into the cabinet and leave until all ice has defrosted. Locate the drain hole in the back of the freezer compartment, try to defrost ice which blockes up about the first inch or two of this pipe. If water does not run through you need to force it through with a turkey baster. This should sort your problem. ratemeplease

Frosting & water dripping from freezer in Frost free freezer

Hi, You will find that your problem relates to the defrost heater in the freezer. You will need to take the drawers out and remove the back panel to access the evaporator. There is a foil heater that lays underneath the evaporator and it will need to be changed. Along with the klixon that controls it. This will ensure that both parts are good. Your problem will then be fixed no more water!
Good luck................

Frost free frezzer

The drain is probably clogged. Use a pipe cleaner to clear and then use a turkey baster and force hot water through. Follow with a weak bleach solution. Drain is usually in the middle of the bottom. maybe towards the back. It is supposed to drain into a pan underneath the unit and then evaporate. Another solution could be a leaky door gasket. This overwhelms the defrost system and causes leaks.
