You need to reinstall your Web cam's drivers.
If you have the drivers on a cd, reinstall them,
if you dont have them, visit Acer's website, www.acer.com and go to the "Drivers and Support" page, enter your laptop model and the operating system you are using, then download the web cam drivers (Acer Crystal Eye) and install.
That should solve your problem.

Good day to you. In regards to your issue usually Acer Laptop users are facing problem with the Webcam Driver while migrating to Windows 7. While other devices work with the Windows 7 inbuilt drivers, the Acer Crystal Eye Web cam device needs an explicit Driver.

You can install this one to make your crystall eye webcam to work. This version works well with windows 7

theres not a button but on start go to all programs then Acer Crystal Eye Webcam. Simple. If on the internet on a chat or something a box should come up asking for your approval to use the webcam simply click the yes button (or approve, something like that) and then it's on.

Look for a piece of software called "Acer Crystal Eye webcam" in your start menu program list, or in your program files folder. This is a simple photo and video capture program that comes with your laptop. It is very similar to Apple's "Photo Booth" program if your familiar with that.

To start recording a video click on the camcorder icon, to stop click on it again. To take a picture click on the camera icon. All of your saved photos and videos will be displayed in a scrolling menu along the bottom of the program window. To delete a file click on it to highlight and then click the trash can icon. To open a file in a video player or photo view double click it. If you don't have this software I've included a link to download it from cnet.com below.

uninstall web cam driver and reinstall then check .
If still face probelm then uninstall yahoo messanger and reinstall.Alsol delete yahoo messanger installation folder from c://program files/messanger

If it isnt listed under hardware then something may have happened to cause the computer to delete the file "virus protection or firewall" and it may be that your computer just isnt reconizing the software anymore. if you have an installation disk try to use it and reinstall the stuff and go from there.

may be the driver files are missing .. just update it and see ...
