Nokia IP380 configuration for MQ Gateway

I am assuming that you are using some kind of Email client - the most likely problem is that your client is not properly configured to send mails - hence it is parking the emails in outbox until can make a connection to the internet and then to the email server.

By message, I am hoping you are talking about the e-mail message.

This is a common problem. There are two settings that need to be accurate for the transmission of e-mails to work.

POP accounts use this format for receiving pop.att.yahoo.com
They use SMTP for sending ; smtp.att.yahho.com

Also, to make e-mail more private, you have to configure your email client (the program you use for e-mail). with ports and ssl layers and such.

Go to your HOME page for your ISP (Internet service provider) and click on the manage account of customer service links.
From there, you can get program specific instructions and setting for the most popular e-mail clients.

Using an IMAP-compliant email client such as Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express or Netscape Messenger, an IMAP user can access his/her email on the server from different locations, using both the IMAP client and the WebMail client. For example, when you read a message and store it in a special folder in your IMAP client while at work, you can access that message and folder while reading your email at home with the WebMail client or with another IMAP client without having to transfer messages or folders between computer stations.

Either your email service has changed their outgoing server or they are having issues. Contact your email provided to ensure you have the correct smtp server listed in your email program..

If you know the IP address then you have two choices:
Indirect method: Test a 'listening' port on the firewall. For instance, if there is a web server behind the firewall, check HTTP (TCP/80) or FTP (TCP/21).

Direct method: If it is enabled for remote management you can check the remote management port, typically SSH (TCP&UDP/22).

Have you ever had Outlook configured correctly to access your email server and download messages?
It sounds like you have set outlook as the default email client but you have not yet configured the email account settings within outlook so that outlook knows how to connect to your mail server online.
Please refer to this link or this link for instructions on how to do this.
Check the programs tab of Internet Options in control panel and make sure Outlook appears as the default email client.

If you follow the instructions in this tutorial you should be able to enter your administrative account and ensure that the Office Diagnostics program runs with sufficient privileges...I believe that will correct this error message...
If not, If you have correctly configured your email accounts within outlook and outlook is set as the default, please see this posting and the recommended change to correct the situation.

sonic is sitting on the gateway. so dont matter where u are still u cant get outside

check your out outgoing message settings
especially your message center configurations,
you can call your provider and the can send you the settings as a message , then all you got to do is save it

I'm using also smslib and nokia 6020 phone for sending and receiving SMS, but i've some trouble with reading messages, would you please tell me the configuration for the modem, i used this one :
