Printer's printing black instead of colored.

Okay, so we have two computers at home. A laptop and a Desktop. And we're having problems in printing using the desktop. Anyways, we made this document its background is colored( I mean a picture). Whenever we use the desktop to print it will print as a black page(all black). So that's the problem. But when we use the laptop to print, it prints fine. It prints real fine with no problem. :) I own this laptop now and my mom is using it for printing. I hate it! Please help.
Desktop is Windows XP Laptop is Vista.

I tried right clicking the picture and changed its color "recolor" and changed it. It worked. But changing to original color. It again turns black when printed.

The printer is fine its the computer that you are printing from that is giving the wronge information. try reinstalling it onto that computer. and check that the background on the word documents are not black on print prevew first. or you have not chosen on the program you are printing from there is not a background colour that needs sending to the back.

Can't print to HP 2600n over network

The LaserJet 2600N has a built-in print server and can be connected to the local network (normal ethernet cable) directly. While printer sharing via Windows should work, I found it much more convenient to access it without the need of a hosting computer - you do not need to switch on the desktop PC for printing from the Laptop, for example, its also printing faster.

Can't print in color on my Canon printer

If you go here you can download or view a manual for your printer, with detailed instructions on changing the print cartridge settings in windows or mac.
If you go here, you'll be taken to the home support page for your printer, where you can enter a search for "print in color", and detailed instructions will follow.
You go to control panel>printers>print preferences> and uncheck the grayscale printing and set the color to auto.
Issue: Image prints black and white instead of color....See below.
Solution: Uncheck Grayscale Printing checkbox (Windows)

Unchecking Grayscale Printing Follow the steps below to change the Grayscale Printing option:
  1. On the Windows desktop, click 'Start', point to 'Settings', then click 'Printers' (Windows XP: On the Start menu, click 'Printers and Faxes').

For Windows Vista: Click / Select 'Start' from the bottom left of the Windows screen, 'Control Panel', 'Hardware and Sound', and then click on 'Printers'. Note: If you are in 'Classic' view, Click 'Printers' directly from the 'Control Panel'.
  2. Windows 2000/XP/Vista: Right-click the printer icon, then click 'Printing Preferences'. Windows 98/Me: Right-click the printer icon, then click 'Properties'.

  3. On the Main tab, click on the 'Grayscale Printing' check-box to remove the check-mark.

  4. Click the 'OK' button to save the setting.

Setting up printer on home network

Because your printer is not either wireless or network capable, the only way to get the results you need is to purchase a usb print server, hook it to your router, set it up through it's management console, and if your router is wireless, you can hook up to your router and print to your printer with your desktop turned on or off.

Computer not in color printing mode

When you go to print, go to properties for the printer you would like to print. Once there find the tab that says color and make sure gray scale is checked off. It could depend though where that setting is at by printer. Please provide what printer you have. Just the brand no product number or anything only if what i gave at first does not help.
