I have an Epson RX560, and its just decided to tell me it has a general error each time I switch it on.It was working perfectly up until a day ago. Any ideas?? Tried pressing the stop button and power button simultaneously, holding down for 10 secs, not holding down for 10 secs, pressing them in a diff order, doesn't help.Please help! :-)Thanks!

Unfortunately a "general error" is different from the commonly assumed "service required" error.
Usually a general error comes about because of something a bit more serious than a paper jam which stops the printhead from moving around as it should, cartridge chips not reading properly, etc...
It's worth trying the following and seeing if any of them help
Beyond that it's a case of looking for clues that might indicate where the problem lies.. ie: if the printhead stops in a particular place, screeching noises, etc...
Hope some of that helps narrow it down some.

yes its sorted, thanks a lot, didnt think it was that obvious, just a simple cleaning and taking paper etc in and out, seems to have done it. just seems pretty random it happened in the first place! anyway thanks a lot :-)
