Internet explorer We are having problems printing to a Ricoh Aficio 5200. We had the same problem with a previous Ricoh Aficio. When printing a multipage htm file it stops printing and only a few pages. It does not happen everytime but often. We can print the same file from the same computer to a different printer and it prints the entire file. Any suggestions?

Please remove and then reinstall the cartridges before trying to print again. You might have purchase new cartridges if some appear to be empty. Thank you.
Here is the answer from the Ricoh Service Manual...
An SC899 occurs if the MFP is accessed from WIM (Web Image Monitor) after receiving an IP-FAX.
Because a firmware bug in the Network Support firmware is causing this symptom.
Call a Ricoh tech and have them update the Network Support firmware to ver.10.55 or later.
You probably don't have an online key on a 5200dn. In this case you need to power on while holding escape and the third LCD Burton which is directly above escape. It should reset just by doing this. Mine did just about 5 min ago :)
Hi,
If it is a network copier then it may happens. There will be a button that provide you all information about the copier by pressing it. You will find the IP Address of the copier in this information page. Disconnect the copier from system and print the information page by pressing the button. Then connect it again.
Open internet explorer put the Present IP address in address space. Then put the new IP address in the configuration page of the copier in internet explorer.
Reboot the system and the copier.
It will not work to directly connect a network cable directly from the network port of the printer directly to your computer. You will have to use a cross-over cable and configure your TCP/IP settings manually. However, to utilize network printing and have internet access, you will want to get a router and connect your modem to the ethernet port of the router, then a network cable from pc to switch port on router, and a network cable from printer to a differnt switch port on router. Most consumer routers have a built in 4-port switch, so that should allow enough connections. You may want to consult a local IT company or Ricoh dealer for the rest of the setup. This will allow the framework for network printing and/or scanning.
I believe the copier only has a tcp/ip port for connection, so you will still need to run it through a router, or if the PC is not on the internet, you can connect the machine directly to the ethernet port on your pc using a 'crossover' cable You will need to download the Vista driver from Ricoh Here:
