Kitchen Aid KUDD03DT top drawer won't stay closed

The lock lever on the unit --- that is shaped like a U --- if you have it ---may be bent a little. You can move it to the correct position - usually down a little --and your door will stay closed

Leaking clear water from behind the faceplate

Most likely the lid seal and/ or the detergent dispenser seal is leaky. Do not operate the dishwasher in this condition as the water can cause electrocution because the mains voltage comes up to the drawer front panel. Most likely it is the detergent dispenser seal.

see this diagram.

Dishwasher goes thru cycles but does not fully and leave dishes with film

Hi

White film deposits are observed if water is hard or when you are using more detergent than needed, try filling detergent cup half way. Try using white vinegar after the wash cycle is complete, run a complete cycle. Also turn down the heat on the hot water fed to the dishwasher. Try using water softener for better results.
You can also add vinegar in the final rinse cycle. Make sure that your soap dispenser drawer is opening and closing fine.

Hope this helps... Please post back if more information is required.

I think the rinse cycle is not working on my Bosh dishwasher. It is leaving a soap residue on the dishes.

The top drawer won't stay closed. Keeps opening just by barely touching it. It will run as long as you hold it closed.

There are few possibilities
1. the dishwasher is not sitting correctly on the floor mountings. Could be a slight lean forward. Secure dishwasher per instructions.
2. the drawer has slightly come off the rails. Need to take it front cover off (remove pin on each side) and re-adjust.
3. the drawer seal is not sitting properly. Take the drawer out and check seal on top edge of the housing from inside

Do not know how to add dishwashing liquid to machine

Fill your clean, dry dispenser cup with detergent and close it.The water streams through the closed dispenser and comes out at the bottom of the dispenser. Make sure you have 120 deg f water coming to the dishdrawer and never put anything in that dishwasher that is to tall or comes up above the drawer when you start the dishwasher it has a lid that comes down and if it does not seal you will get an f1 code and it will require a tech.

Simpson brand dishwasher won't disperse detergent tablet

The soap dispenser drawer is supposed to open during the cycle. Try first to understand if the drawer is opening or not during cycle.

If the drawer is not opening, then check if the opening mechanism is stuck, if it is blocked by dirt and soap, if it is broken, or if something, for examble a basket too close to dispenser drawer is preventing the drawer from opening.

Some dishwasher works only with powder, in that case indications are given on the owners manual.

If the drawer opens and the table, or powder is still staying stuck in the drawer, then that means that the spray does not have enough power to solve the tablet.
In that case check spray arms and impeller pump. Also check water temperature.

If the problem is also happening with powder, then it is probably a drawer not opening on cycle.
