Cuisinart dc 1200 coffee maker auto start mysteriously shuts off

Sounds like the switches got damp when you cleaned it. Let it dry out very thoroughly before you plug it back in. Then set the TIME OF DAY first, and be sure you pay attention to AM/PM if you are not in the 24-hour mode. Next, set the BREW TIME. Once again, heed the AM/PM or you will have nice hot coffee either 12 hours early, or 12 hours late! (I don't know which would be worse.)

Why is my coffeemaker taking more than 4 minutes to brew a pot of coffee

  1. Be sure that your SPEEDBREW® Coffeemaker brew control dial is set to 'Brew Regular' when brewing regular coffee. Please note that using the 'Brew Decaf' setting will slow the brewing process. It is recommended that the 'Brew Decaf' setting be used when brewing decaffeinated coffee.
  2. Your SPEEDBREW® Coffeemaker may need to be cleaned.
