To perform a master/hard reset on your HTC S621 you will need to: 1. PRESS AND HOLD BOTH SOFT KEYS (Soft keys are the ones that are the defaults for Start and Contacts near the Green calling and Red end calling keys). 2. WHILE HOLDING DOWN SOFT KEYS, PRESS AND RELEASE THE POWER BUTTON, WAIT 3-5 SEC. (PHONE SHOULD POWER ITSELF ON BY DOING THIS) 3. RELEASE THE TWO KEYS SOFT KEYS. 4. WHEN SCREEN ON DASH LOOKS LIKE IT'S IN DOS FORMAT, PRESS SEND (GREEN ANSWER KEY)
The best method is to download the theme from any website to your computer and transfer it to your memory card and then open it from your phone file explorer. it will automatically install the theme.
You can also download it through your phone internet explorer if you have configured internet in your HTC.
1. Press and hold the left SOFT KEY and
the right SOFT KEY, and at the same time, use the stylus to press the
RESET button. 2.
Release the stylus, but continue pressing the two SOFT KEYs until you
see the following message on the screen:
try aligning the screen... settings > screen > general > Align Screen
If that doesn't work try hard reset... i.e. press the two soft keys and the reset button using stylus...
If its still not working do soft reset: settings > system > Clear storage but remember to take back up of phone before doing this..as it will erase all your data...
Try a soft reset (remove and replace battery), If your sure you haven't installed anything that may have remapped the keys, next option is a hard reset (all data will be lost, make sure you back it up)
There are two methods to performing a hard reset
Select Start > Accessories > Clear Storage. Enter 1234 where prompted and select YES.
Power the device off. Press and hold the left and right soft keys. Power the device on while holding these keys. Follow the on-screen prompts to factory reset the device.
If you find you can hard reset using the second method you know that your keyboard is ok, if the it refuses to reset its looking like an electrical problem which could be the keyboard or motherboard..
You can do this: - remove the battery - press at the same time the soft keys (the 2 keys just under the screen with the symbol "-"), and do not release - replace the battery - always press the soft keys, press the power button (5 seconds) - release power button - release the soft keys - s620 will not start windows, but open a black window - press the send key (green telephone) to restore factory default configuration. - s620 will enter in windows and work normally. good luck
