Norstar m7310 I would like to set more phones to ring

We have the Norstar m7310 system and I would like to set additional phones to ring, in addition to the receptionist phones. We need to hear the phones ring in all areas of our office and not just in the front office.

If your Telecom equipment provider has set up "user" programming on the system, you can enter the administrative programming mode from any phone by dialing **ADMIN (Star-Star-2-3-6-4-6). The phone display will then prompt you for a password. The default is ADMIN.

You will need the appropriate NORSTAR MICS or CICS manual to accomplish this taks.

The 4 upper right keys underneath the display change meaning when you are in programming. The back of the programming manual has a perforated overlay to place over the keys when programming.
Upper Left = HEADING
Upper Right = SHOW
2nd Key Left = BACK
2nd Key Right = NEXT
The NEXT key scrolls from menu to menu - the SHOW button displays a particular menu
As you move from menu to menu, the 3 keys on the display allow you to change the data.
After changing the data, you must press NEXT to save it.
Press the RLS key to exit.

Dial "F * 0" (Feature, star, zero), which is Button Inquiry, and press an intercom button to see the extension number of the telephone. If Set Relocation is set to "Yes", then the extension number & mailbox will follow the phone when it is moved. Move only two phones at a time, and wait until they completely "boot-up" before moving additional phones.
Hope this helps.

Either the line from the telephone company is out or the line port in the line card is defective. The easiest way to determine if its one or the other is to report the line trouble to the telephone company. they'll check the line up to where it comes into the building, and if theres a problem on thier side they'll get it back in service. If the report the line is good to the building, then you'll need to call your telephone system service technician.

Program a new Nortel m7310 phone with an existing extension

If the extension was a swap of the old M7310 with a new(ish) M7310 no additional programming should be necessary. However if the phone was replaced with another type of nortel set(M7208, M7324,T7313 etc.) then the phone will default to its base features. To re-program the feature keys press feature *3, the button you wish to program, and the feature code for that button

You will have to go into system programming, under sets, line appearances. You will need to set the lines on the phones to appear and ring, not just appear.
