A ''static'' sound coming from ALL outputs of Korg Triton

I have been moving my triton around alot lately and its somewhere around 7 years old or so. When I run cables from the audio out to my mbox I get this ''static'' sound that comes off and on when recording. I dont really know how to explain the sound but its like a static sound or if something was crossing wires. It comes and goes somewhat in a pattern. I also have a mpc hooked up to the mbox and have no unwanted sounds coming from it. I took the bottom off of the triton and sprayed with dust remover (air in a can) but still have the same sound. Anyone ran into this or have a solution? Also if the case calls for it, does anyone know where to pick up a new output board for the triton?

Try cleaning ALL the contacts involved with Caig DeOxit (D5, S5. F6, G5, etc.) products*, they work very well. e.g.; cables, inputs, outputs, and (if you're confident) all the contact points "under the hood". this static you speak of sounds like less than stellar contact points and can addressed at home if you've the motivation to DIY.

Korg triton extreme synth. L/r outputs work fine by themselves put plug in both right side cuts out using headphone jack instead if you pull the right slightly out of input you get both sides working

I need more info to correctly troubleshoot this. However my best guess from what your telling me is that its either the Audio jack on the Korg or the headphones. If everything else is working properly replace the headphones and the Audio outputs. Post again with more details if that does not work

I can hear only one side of the sound coming out from Korg triton extream keyboard. It's not the cable problem for sure. i tested both the earphone out put and the Left and right out put. Did a

So you're saying with headphones you also only hear one side? I would suspect the internal amp is panned all to one side. There are also several other settings in this unit where pan can be set so you may have to check several areas. If you don't have any specific custom settings made I would try a restore to factory defaults. If that doesn't resolve it you likely have a hardware failure which is likely not repairable. I strongly suspect a panning issue though.

Broken Triton push button

I am not familiar with your exact model, but if the plastic "hinge" for the button has broken, it is possible to "fix" it. This is not a DIY repair though. Can you tell me where you are located so I can perhaps suggest a repair location?

Thanks,
Dan

They need to be downloaded from korg.com. You need to have a floppy disk drive to load them unfortunately.
