This oven has a glass piece on the outside of the door. It has streaks behind it that I'd like to clean off, but I don't know how to take the glass off. It looks like it might be able to be slid to the side, but it won't budge. Do I need to unscrew the door handle to get it out?
Good Afternoon clynns108 - Thank you for your question. Here are some generics steps to help you remove the
door to your range or you may reach out to a professional directly to further
assist you:
Tools needed: Phillips head screwdriver or small quad bit
driver.
CAUTION: Edges of door may pose a cut hazard, use gloves or heavy cloth when
grabbing edges.
A. Refer to owners guide for instructions on how to remove oven door.
B. With door in broil stop position lift door assembly off hinges.
C. Lay door on table, position so that handle hangs freely over edge of table
D. Remove 2 screws and washers that secure handle to lining assembly.
E. Remove 8 screws that attach textured steel door wrapper trim to lining
assembly 3 at top, 3 at bottom, 1 on each side
F. Lift door lining up and out of wrapper trim assembly.
G. Lay lining assembly on table with wool shield/inner part of lining facing
up.
H. Remove 2 glass clamps via 2 screws per clamp. These clamps attach innermost
clear glass to wool shield.
I. Lift out center clear glass from wool shield, this glass just lays onto the
wool shield and is held in place by the glass/ clamps in item H.
J. Clean each glass with appropriate cleaner, Windex, bon ami, fantastic, etc
K. One glass that remains in door lining assembly can at this time be cleaned
without further disassembly the lining assembly.
L. Reassemble in reverse order.
I hope this information helps
to some degree.
It may just need some warm soapy water poured between the runners. Failing that try warming the oven first. The inside one should slide up.
SOURCE: Cleaning Inside Glass Oven Door of KitchenAid KEMC308KSSO
To dismantle the kitchenaid pro line oven door: there is a lever over the hinges that attach a door to the oven. The lever is right on top of the hinge. Pull the lever up. When that lever is in the up position, you can pull the door out.

this is common its called vapor lock look for screws holding in the glass if none are found there is a rope looking seal around it take a hook or pliers and remove it the glass will come out you can clean in between it and put it back fairly easily.
SOURCE: I need a replacement door for a built in Baumatic 720 series oven
I have exactly the same problem and my bottom glass panel exploded. My friends did the same. You can take the inside glass panel out via the two screws and clean the inside of the outer glass once removed. Id replace all the rubber seals to as they perish, particularly the one that clips onto the oven itself that meets the door.

you have to let the oven dry and clean and you should not put any oily foods on it..
SOURCE: cleaning glass in oven door
Extend your door hinges and remove entirely over to a table or other flat surface where you can do a step-by-step dis-assembly. Begin by removing the bolts at the bottom of the door, then the main panel and side flanges can be removed. The glass slides out from the tabs and you can give it a good cleaning at this point. Reverse your order to re-assemble, and put your door back on the oven. It's not as bad an exercise as it would appear. Just take your time and watch what you're doing. I used the hinges as a shim, and had it laid out on a pool table for easy, elevated examination.
