F1 error code on Kenmore Oasis He

Our top loading washer flashes the F1 code and stops the wash cycle. It will restart and finish the wash cycle. Any ideas of what is causing this error code? F1 error started less than 2 years after purchase of my Kenmore Elite Oasis Washer 110.27092603. At first occasionally at startup, but worsened over a few weeks to 2-3 restarts at every startup and 2-3 restarts again at beginning of rinse cycle. From reading posts on this website I determined that control panel was probably defective and figured I could order new one for $165 and replace myself. First I discussed with Sears warranty people at 800-479-6351 and they suggested I pay $65 for repairman to come out and run diagnostic and give me repair estimate. If I elected to have repairman fix they would reimburse me $150 for labor and $100 for parts. Repairman replaced control panel and I paid him $395. Sears credited $250 back to me so my out-of-pocket is $145. Less than the $165 I would have paid for the part myself plus I got 90-day warranty on repairman's work. And less than an extended warranty which I oppose on principle.

Per Sears. To fix the problem. Unplug the washer for at least 10 min then push pause or stop 2 times and this will fix the problem.

To get over the F1 Code problem with the Maytag top load washing machine: press pause/cancel, open lid, dump about half a gallon of water into the machine, close lid and press start. It has been working for me all the time. I have to do this at the beginning of the wash cycle and at the beginning of the rinse cycle. What a pain!

What is the HC code for the washer . It comes on after the wash cycle is finished.

After replacing the part to fix the F1 code, the washer (Oasis he) now comes up with a HC code. Also, even though the cycle is set for warm/cold, the clothes are coming out hot at the end of the cycle...and the cold water is hooked up and on. Any suggestions?

F1 error code on Kenmore Oasis He

The F1 error code on this washer indicates a Primary Control Board failure.

It is likely that the machine control board will need to be replaced to correct this problem.

The part number for the machine control board is undetermineable because you have not provided me with the exact model # of your washer.

The procedure for replacing the machine control board is provided HERE

NOTE: Be sure to unplug the washer to disconnect electrical power before accessing internal components.

There is a slight possibility that a problem with the pressure switch hose could be causing this problem.

A pinched or twisted air hose can cause this fault code.

When you open the console, check the air hose connected to the pressure switch on the machine control board.

If it is pinched or crimped, I recommend rerouting the hose to resolve this problem.

This may fix your problem without replacing the control board.

NOTE: You may want to check for this condition before ordering the control board. Most electronic control boards cannot be returned for a refund or credit.

If you find no apparent problems with the air hose on the pressure switch, then replacing the machine control board on this washer should correct your problem. There is a risk involved in replacing this part yourself.

As noted above, you could have a problem with the air pressure hose that is not apparent upon your initial inspection. A service technician would normally need to properly and thoroughly diagnose this problem before replacing the control board.

F1 error code on Kenmore Oasis He

I think there might be a recall on your washer call to see. I am not for sure that there is a recall but I a m pretty sure there is. So don't quote me on that. the f1 error code usually means that you have a bad board. f1 means that your pressure switch line is failing and this is all in your board. check your owners manual if whirlpool is not going to pay for this repair sometimes there are extended warranties in your manual

Ok these are not the series 70, getting a model number off the door will reallllllly help. Some of these sound like the oasis. F1 is motor control or primary control failure and F 41 is a rps thermistor failure.

How do you open a Kenmore Elite Oasis top-loading washer?

I just finished installing my new control unit for my Kenmore Oasis and my F1 problems are GONE! I ordered it from Sears Direct Parts. With shipping and taxes it came out to about $174 for the part, but our issues are gone and now we can wash a load of clothes without having to reset it several times.
