He3t washer f20 error code

F20 code occurs during wash process. I have removed inlet lines and checked screens, I have removed the drain plug and fished our nursing pads and baby socks. Recently I have discovered bleach and soapis not dispensing correctly. I am wondering if I should replace the inlet valves or flow meter?

SOURCE: f20 error code???

Ok, I found 2 solutions for this problem, I tried the first one, and it really seemed to work, but I think I will do the second one too.  First, if you have metal flood safe hoses, you need to look for debris blocking the filter at both ends.  I kept checking the screens at the washer end and not seeing anything, but there was debris located at the water supply end, stuck in the flood safe device that is in the metal hose.  Also, Flood safe hoses say to turn the water on to full pressure, but sometimes that can activate the flood safe device, so only turn your water supply on half way.  Make sure that the hoses are on right as well, the flood safe device needs to be at the end with the water supply, not the washer end.  You will be able to see the device (it looks like a little sieve) inside the hose.
Another cause of this problem can be the filter IN your washer, it is located in the front just under the front bottom removable panel.  If you have a pet in the house, definitely check this out, a lot of hair gets stuck in that.  Just unscrew the front bottom panel, and then it is right in the middle at the bottom, a cone shaped filter.  Get a towel, because there will be water in there, too. SOURCE: HE3t f20 error

We had the same problem with a new machine. We washed one load successfully and the second time we got the F20 code. Sears came out and determined it was a bad valve. They had to then schedule another service call to fix it.

The new part was shipped to our house. The repairman showed me the old valve with some black debris on it, saying that our lines were dirty and that contributed to the problem, but its hard to understand how one use of the machine would clog a good valve. Anyway, with the new valve the machine works fine.

Got a f20 code on my washer and i have a question

How to fix Whirlpool Duet F20 Error:
Whirlpool uses a flow meter that detects the flow of water entering the washer. If this flow meter does not detect the correct amount of water entering the washer it will sound the F20 error code. Often this repair can be made with out calling an appliance repairman and without ordering parts. Start by removing the washer fill hoses; both the cold and the hot water hoses. Check for proper water pressure from the house. To do so, turn the water on and put the hose inside the washer or a bucket.
If water pressure is good, check the water valve inlet screens. Most residential washing machines have inlet screens. The screens prevent minerals from clogging the solenoid. With the hoses removed, you can visually inspect the water inlet screens. If the water valve screens are clear the inlet valve with the screens itself will need to be replaced. To replace the water valve, remove the top of the washing machine. Three screws hold the top down. The screws that hold the top down are on the back of the top panel. Once removed the top will slide back and off. Now remove the wire harness that connects to the valve. One screw holds the valve to the washers cabinet. Removing the screw and sliding the valve over will release the valve from the back panel enabling you to complete your repair.
One last thing to check is the fill hoses. These front load duet washers call for a lot of water quickly. So if you have stainless steel braided flood-safe hoses, they will trip for no reason at all. Replace these flood safe hoses with more traditional hoses.

F20 error code

copied from the net..............

The "F20" fault code is indicating NO WATER IS BEING DETECTED ENTERING THE WASHER OR THE PRESSURE SWITCH IS NOT TRIPPING OR SENSING A TRIP.

If there is no water in the unit:

Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned on all the way and water enters.

Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the inlet valves.

Verify inlet valve operation.

If there is water in the unit:

Verify drain pump operation.

Verify that the pressure switch hose is in good condition and properly connected to tub and pressure switch.

Verify there is not a siphon problem.

Press STOP twice to clear the display. The machine will drain for 3 minutes before unlocking the door.

Unplug washer or disconnect power.

Verify wire harness connections to inlet valves, pressure switch, drain pump and Central Control Unit (CCU).

Check all hoses for possible leaks.

Plug in washer or reconnect power

Verify pressure switch operation.

I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your washer if water will entering the machine and not siphon out.

F20 error code

Hi.

F20 means that there is a water inlet problem:

Reasons for error F20:
(Water Inlet Problem-no water or insufficient
water supply) Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle
Unplug washer or disconnect power.

Check the following:
Are water faucets completely turned on?
Are screens at inlet hose connection to washer
clogged? Are water inlet hoses kinked? Are water inlet hoses frozen?

If that does not help inlet valve, pressure switch and control module must be tested. The defective part must be replaced.

Here the tech sheet.

Regards.

Kenmore HE2T F20 plus Water leakage when tub starts to fill

Have you read by advice on how to diagnose this problem? Click on the following link:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r1491905-f20_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore

If you HAVE water entering the wash tub, first verify that you do not have a siphoning condition. This is where the drain line does not have the proper air gap to drain properly and creates a vacuum on the drain line. This will cause drain problems and may prevent the washer from filling all the way. Or, you may have trouble maintaining the water level. When you stated you had water leaking, is this a visible leak? Or, do you have water slowly draining from the tub? Double check your drain line to be sure.

Next, check the drain pump to ensure it is not clogged or obstructed which minimizes drain flow. Also, make sure the pump is running. Remove the access cover and clean out the pump reservoir. In addition, check the drain line from the bottom of the wash tub to the inlet side of the drain pump. I have personally found small articles of clothing stuck in this line, preventing drain flow.

Read through the link thoroughly. If you require additional assistance, please let me know before rating the solution. I hope this helps you.
