I lost my remote for my brand new Samsung Blu Ray player model BD-F6900 and I tried to program my Xfinity remote but it still won't allow me to select English on the On-Screen Language screen. I cannot proceed without doing this. I also have a Samsung remote for my Samsung tv. Can I program that remote to work on my Blu Ray player? If not, what else can I do?

You should be able to program your samsung blu-ray player's remote to work for your TV as long as it is a supported brand. I have attached a link to the manual for the AK59-00104R remote (the samsung blu-ray bdF5700 uses the slightly different AK59-00172A remote, but it should still work the same.) Just follow the directions in it to program your remote and you should have one that works for both your blu-ray player and TV. You can find the codes on pages 20 and 21 of the manual.

if Samsung never included the brand Olevia on there remote, then its not going to work because it was never design to work with that brand. The only way to get around that is to get a learning remote or universal remote that has olevia pre program into the remote.. Olevia did come out with some learning remotes that is able to learn from other remotes.. the model its called Olevia RC-LRN ..
