Well here is the problem if i turn off the proscan tv and try to turn it on it does a couple of things, it will have a blue screen with no sound, sound with no pic, sound with black and white pic or pic with no sound. I have to unplug it and plug it in several times and usually get it to work, does anyone else have this problem?
This problem is either the TV's software or how the mainboard is distributing power so instead of just unplugging the TV, try a power drain:
1. Unplug the product's power cable so the device is not grounded to the house.
2. Press and HOLD the product's own power button for 1 minute to drain the capacitors.
3. Plug the product back into a wall outlet and try to turn it on.
Note: This procedure works with battery operated devices as well so remove the batteries and
hold down it's power/on-off button. Electricity can remain in capacitors and on circuit boards
enough to prevent normal functionality. By clearing the residue electricity, your product
will have a fresh start and many times this will resolve a buggy or non-responsive device
that appears to be dead.
Since hardware either works or it doesn't, your issue is either software or power related since you can get it to work so hopefully the power drain will indicate further.
