This problem is either the TV's software or how the mainboard is distributing power so instead of just unplugging the TV, try a power drain:
1. Unplug the product's power cable so the device is not grounded to the house. 2. Press and HOLD the product's own power button for 1 minute to drain the capacitors. 3. Plug the product back into a wall outlet and try to turn it on.
Note: This procedure works with battery operated devices as well so remove the batteries and hold down it's power/on-off button.  Electricity can remain in capacitors and on circuit boards enough to prevent normal functionality. By clearing the residue electricity, your product will have a fresh start and many times this will resolve a buggy or non-responsive device that appears to be dead.
Since hardware either works or it doesn't, your issue is either software or power related since you can get it to work so hopefully the power drain will indicate further.

How do i fix a proscan tv to turn, only a red and blue light are on

Well without actually opening it up and determining where the problem is, it's unlikely you will get it to come back on. I suspect something wrong with the power supply but it could be something else also.

Proscan 27" tv

if you want to eliminate magnetism, you have to degauss the screen, if you don't know how to do that, here is a small guide for that: http://www.wikihow.com/Degauss-a-Computer-Monitor

but that strange shutting down its the transistor... so your best choice is to send it to a repairman to change the transistor..
if you try to do that for your self, you could even get shocked with the electricity contained in the tv... even if its turned off and unplugged..

My proscan tv has the blue light but wont turn on

Most likely it's the power supply board that went out. (part of it still works is why you get the blue LED when you plug it in.)

If you decide to try to fix it yourself, BE CAREFUL! The power supply board has capacitors that can hold high voltages for many hours after the TV's been unplugged.The equivalent of sticking your finger in a light socket.

You'll need the part number off the power supply to get a replacement.

My proscan 42" LCD tv

hi; do check the AC cord if still good.
if your LCD TV wont start , even if you press the power button , it has a power supply failure, maybe some capacitor has bloated or changed value, try to watch this http://www.youtube.com if you know how to solder, or even disassemble the back of LCD TV. if not try to call a repair technician.
thanks ,, hope this helps........

Me tv wont turn on

Unfortunately, Proscan TV's are rather junk tv's overall...I sold TV's and can't tell you enough bad things about them. Take it back if still under warrantee..don't bother fixing if not, they will cost you more than a new one.

DO NOT buy a no-name TV in the future. Sorry.

Hi my name is lily i have a ploblem with my tv is proscan 19inchla25q i try to turn it on but it wont go on the red ligt flashes gree then it turn back on in red

The power supply is bad. It supplies enough power to light the red LED when the tv is powered off, but not enough to power up the tv. You can find one on ebay.

The screen turns on hen off

Just try to reset;

Resetting the TV
Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can saved time.
1. Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet for 3 - 4 hours.
2. Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...)
3. Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds.
4. Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV.
5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again.
6. Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices.
7. Turn on the TV.

hope this may help;

Remote not working

If this TV came with an universal remote, try pressing the TV key. Sometimes it works.
If that did not work any other RCA, GE, Proscan universal should work.
