Internet Explorer freezes when I log onto RTE TV (Ire).

I have Vista Home Premium operating system on my computer. I can stream many TV programmes from all over the world. However When I log onto www.RTE.ie & start to stream any programmes, the screen freezes momentarily and the the Google screen is booted up. I wonder is there a codex problem with

Please try to use any other browser like firfox or Chrome and see if you are able to stream video. If yes there might be a proble with Internet Explore setting .
Try below steps to fix it --

Clear cached data in Internet Explorer 7 loadTOCNode(2, 'moreinformation'); To determine whether a performance issue or an error message is caused by corruption in the temporary Internet files or in other cached information that is used by Internet Explorer 7, you must clear cached data. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Open Internet Explorer 7.
  2. Click Tools, and then click Delete Browsing History.
  3. In Delete Browsing History, click Delete All.
  4. Click to select the Also delete files and settings stored by add-ons check box, and then click OK
Reset security settings for Internet Explorer 7 loadTOCNode(2, 'moreinformation'); If you configure security settings to be too restrictive, you may prevent Internet Explorer 7 from displaying certain Web sites. To determine whether an issue is caused by overly restrictive security settings, revert to default security settings. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Open Internet Explorer 7.
  2. Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
  3. Click the Security tab.
  4. Click Reset all zones to default level, and then click OK.

Assume you are using Windows XP..
Go to My Computer >C Drive (your hard drive icon)>open programmes, find the Internet explorer folder, open it and right click on the "iexplore" icon and create shortcut..it will then prompt you to place the shortcut on the desktop..windows Vista is virtually the same

When trying to log out of internet by cicking top right button(red box white cross) message comes up that internet clsed down and then the only way for me to exit is to shut laptop down completly even tho...

Happened to me too some time ago. The solution I found (finally) was to de-install windows internet explorer, reboot computer and then re-install windows internet explorer (had to download it)
