Our current model 360 wont play certain new release movies.its tries to read them and then says "open tray". this has happend about half dozen times so far. the movies it cant play do however play fine on a regular dvd player. i doubt its the xbox, more likely something they are doing to the dvd formats.we only use the xbox to play movies so its a bit annoying as you never know if it will play or not when you hire or buy them. all movies are original and correct region (4). any updates available for xbox to correct this problem?would greatly appreciate your help in fixing this very annoying situatiion.
This is 99% always the case when your dvd drive is going out. You can find a replacement on ebay for under $15. Video tutorials can be found on youtube just by typing "xbox 360 laser replacement" Replace the laser and you won't have this problem anymore.
