This is a EASY FIX.... if the car has a factory alarm installed, then the installer never connected the OEM disarm wire. its a LIGHT GREEN/BLACK wire connected to the H2 harness. just have them connect that and youre problem will go away .

My ce0890 viper alarm keeps starting my truck on its own in the middle of the night

You have the timer turned on. Verify in owners manual how to de activate. And/or you have the low voltage turn on or the temperature recognition turn on.

Parking and cab lights don't flash where arming or disarming. Also Lights don't say illuminated when remote start is on. Did i turn this function off?

It's possible that the parking kight wire is no longer connected or, the (alarm's) fuse for the parking is blown. The parking light fuse for the 5701 is located behind the door on the alarm module.

I have the viper 5701 on a bmw 540i and the alarm works so does the keyless but the remote start does not work, the park lights flash 7 times and gives an error code, what can cause this?

The flashing parking lights signal a shutdown diagnostic. There is a nuetral safety switch under the dash. It's a toggle switch that needs to be in the on position. Also, the hood pin needs to be making contact with the hood when the hood is closed.

My viper 5701 transponder gives error code of five blinks even though it does the function

Five blinks of the parking lights during remote starter operation is an error code for the (+) brake shutdown. If your foot is not on the brake then, there is an issue with your brake switch or your parking lights and brake lights wires are making contact, possibly in one of the front or rear light housings. Corrosion maybe.

Hello. My Viper 5701 suddenly doesn't start anymore. I press the button on the 2way, I get a red light by the f instead of the usual green start light. The rest of the functions (unlock, lock, alarms) work...

You should also be receiving an error message. If the parking lights flash six times, it relates to the hood shutdown wire(-) or the brake shutdown wire(+). If the parking lights flash seven times, it relates to the neutral safety shutdown. Check the toggle switch under the dash and flip it to the opposite position.

Problem with my viper alarm system on my 98' odyssey

first, you need to manuslly disarm the alarm. open driver's door, put key in ignition, turn on ignition, an then within 10 seconds push the valet/program button for a couple of seconds. (it is the little spring loaded push button that they installed with your system. probably in the kick panel or under dash
