The KX-T7433 isn't an answering machine. If the voicemails are going to an answering machine you have on the phone line, consult its manual. If the voicemails are going on to your telephone service provider's system, look for instructions in the phonebook, or contact the provider.
Most of the newer phones have a feature that quiets the ringtone when you touch the phone or move it. You can deactivate this feature in the settings menu. I hopes this helps you..
To extend the number of rings before your phone goes into the answer message option, change the settings for Answer delay option as described below.
You can set number of rings before your phone answer message kicks in. You can set answer message to begin after 2, 4, 6 or 8 rings.
1. Press <Menu> and up down to select ANS Machine
2. Press <OK> and <up/down> to select TAM Settings
3. Press <OK> and <up/down> to select ANSWER DELAY (OPTIONS: 2, 4, 6 OR 8 RINGS)
4. Press <OK> and <up/down> to select to select desired delay.
5. Press <OK> to confirm.
Your compressor goes on and off based on the pressure. If it only goes to 60 # and no more, I would say it is worn out. The rings most likely. It can be repaired ... but before you go get the parts, consider that if the rings are worn, so too is the rest of the machine ... Consider the price and time to repair your machine and compare to a new machine before you get started.

the voicemail ring count has to be setup on your phone line thru your voicemail menu,and has nothing to do with the answering machine. if you don't want the answering machine to pickup, just shut it off. follow the prompt's for your voicemail settings, there you'll be able to set the amount of rings you want.
