Usually when the element fails to heat up, It means its usually broke, cracked, or where they plug in gets brittle and breaks. Your best bet is to replace the bottom element.
You have a heating element out in the unit. This element is located in the bottom of the unit. Unplug the stove and take out all the racks. There should be one screw on each side of the element on the back of the stove (inside of the unit) take out the screw on eack side and GENTLY pull on the element and you will see wires conected to the element. Dosconet and replace the element. You might see that one wire is burnt and not conected. You might try reconcting the wire and testing the unit. If that is not the case then replace the lower element and problem solved. If you have any more questions feel free to ask and I will be happy to help. Good Luck.
do you have voltage? you have to have 240 volts if you only have 120 this might happen check your breaker. does your bake element work? if neither bake or broil work always check the breaker first and let me know
It could be the element, but if neither the top or bottom element are coming on, it could be an issue with the electronics... Have you tried any of the other oven functions? Is it a convection oven? Maybe try using the convection bake or roast/convection roast functions..(roast function doesn't go through a pre-heat cycle, I have the same stove). If it's still under warranty, I would be calling for service.
can you seee the lower bake element? usualy when bad it will be apparent with a visual inspection of the element.if there is damage to the element order a replacement . 2 screws and 2 wires . no problemTURN OFF POWER ITS A LIVE ELEMENT AT ALL TIMES!!!!!!!
