Our fridge/freezer is working fine, but the alarm light on the front keeps on flashing. No alarm sound - just the light. Everything in the freezer is frozen, stuff in fridge are cold - but there is water at the bottom of the fridge. When I turn the temperature ( on the front of freezer - outside ) to any side - the light goes out - but after few hours it is back - flashing... What can be the problem ?

You have a defrost problem.when you open your freezer door and look at the back panel look and see if their is frost built up.if so that means you do have a defrost problem.you will need to pull panel off and defrost coils.then you can check your defrost thermostat which is round and has 2 wires that go to it.it sits at the top of coils.see if it seperated.if so that is your problem also check defrost heater see if any breaks in it.if those check out then could be defrost timer which is located in ref.side.it would help to know what brand it is.it sounds like a side by side ref,but dont know what brand.

Hello,I defrosted my electrolux chest freezer and now problem is power is on but not freezing, alarm light keeps coming and keeps bleeping every 2 minutes and goes off and on

Is the compressor running? if it is running, but there is no cooling, it is time to buy a new freezer.
If the compressor is NOT running, I would suspect the compressor start relay.
How did you defrost it?

My Miele freezer the alarm bell is bleeping but it is not defrosting what could be the problem please.

The beeping could be a low temperature warning. Check to make sure the temperature is staying cold enough and then check the door seal. Use a store bot fridge/freezer thermometer. Use a dollar bill to check seal. If you close door on the bill it should hold the bill tight but still let you pull it out. If it is loose then you need to adjust the door to fit tighter.

Gladiator fridge/freezer-freezer not cold enough, stays at 10 deg

Hi,

As the weather is getting warmer for many people their freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other things that can go wrong. If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out the last two tips.

If your refrigerator is running but warm, then…

Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling a repair person to do a simple thing for you...

Freezer ok, fridge not cold

Often you can unplug it overnight and it'll melt out, correcting the problem for some time.  The electric element might be burned out, although I'd suspect the defrost timer.  It's usually located behind the unit, near the bottom.  Often all you will see is a 3/4" hole in the back plate with a flat screwdriver slot.  Turn it (only turns one direction) with a flat screwdriver, and all will work fine for some time (usually).  If not, standard procedure is to replace the defrost timer assembly, as the clock motor has likely gummed up.  Maybe available at http://www.repairclinic.com, or a local appliance repair shop.  They're often generic, as in not specialty oem specific.

Fridge/Freezer combo - Freezer working fine but fridge is not

There is a duct between the freezer and refrigerator. Sometimes this duct blocks off with ice and won't allow airflow. Open your refrigerator door and check for air flow if there is none the duct needs to be defrosted. turn off freezer/ refrigerator and defrost.

Fridge not cold

I had the same problem with fridge/freezer and repair man told me NOT to use anything that has been in freezer as what is happening is that it is constantly freezing and defrosting because there is not enough gas in the system to cool the appliance. It is possible to re-gas the appliance but service engineer advised me to claim a new fridge/freezer from company which I did. Please do NOT eat anything from freezer as could make you ill.

GE used refrigerator....

I would try defrosting first. If no difference, or worse then you may have a refrigerant leak. You could always try setting back to the original setting. Hope this helps.
