Hi, Tell me exactly what is up. When you say tripping main power switch are you talking about the switch on the unit or a circuit breaker? Are you plugging it into a regular 15 amp wall socket and is their a three prong plug? Are you using an extension cord? The more info you give me the better I can help you.

Fpmw512 washing machine stops while washing pops main switch

earth leak could be the heating element. when they go can send power through earth and trip the rcd power switch as its designed to. remove the mains wires to the element, cover them in isolation tape so the copper is covered on the wires and turn on power if it does not blow this time its the element. and needs replacing.

My adp8540 has stopped working because my sister opened midcycle. Now it trips the circuit safety switch and if it does do anything else it blinks 6 times. Can it be fixed or do I jut need a new one?

Please remove off the main power supply and keep aside while pressing off the panel control. If the trip works, check if the motor is struck , release with manual action. Also check the motor, remove connection and see if the trip has changed. Also if there is any leak on the machine if the trip switch is a ELCB , which can trip with a ground/earth leak. If so check the outlet ground or use another plug point.

When I switch on washing machine my fuse gets tripped

hello do you mean the fuse the plug or the mains fuse. if it is the main s fuse and all the electric a trips out the you've got a bad earth. 1 check wired conncetions to the washer if ok then the fault inside the washer the could be faulty component on the power board check for glass fuse make sure it's not blown if has make you use the same rated fuse if this ok then is possible that the motor could have earth out to ground hope it helps

Hotpoint aquarious wd 440 two years old tripping main board

A faulty heater in both a washing machine and dishwasher will trip swithes because they both cause an earth........the chances are you heater needs replacing......the reason its tripping after a short period is probably beacause the cycle doesnt start heating the water until after approx 15-20 mins depending on the cycle chosen

Bosch WFB2005 triping mains

get yourself an insulation resistence tester and put one lead on the earth pin of the mains plug select continuity on the tester and touch any bare metal on your machine it should beep. After put the lead that you connected to metal on the live pin of the plug close the washer door turn machine on.Now select 500 v on the tester and press the ideal range must be above 2 meg ohms with a minimum of 0.5 ohms if you get a reading below then you have a prolem with the washer, but if above 2 meg ohms it maybe your mains socket. Good luck

Trips out the mains fuse.

must be an earth fault within the machine. suspect a burned out wire or switch. possibly carbon dust within the motor. take the top off the machine & have a look at the wireing loom.

SWITCH THE POWER OFF FIRST
