Dell Inspiron 8200 Won't Boot up. Not even to BIOS.

My Dell Inspiron 8200 Won't Boot up. Not even to BIOS.
You push the power button and everything lights up as it normally would. But then nothing else happens... No fans, no screen.... I can feel the laptop getting warmer (over a period of time) when its on.
I have tried declining it all power, then booting up. But it just does not work.
I am going to take it apart soon with my electritian friend to see whats going on inside there. But it would be nice to do it myself. and soon.

When it originally happened I believed it to be in power save mode, like when its been on screen saver for a while. But when it wouldn't wake up I just pressed the power button.

Thanks.

Latitudes sometimes have a problem with RAM. Try these things to get it to boot...
1. Remove the RAM modules, clean the contacts with a pencil eraser, reseat modules and test.
2. If two modules, remove one and test. Place same module in second slot and test.

Dell mini inspiron mini won't shut down

Force off by pressing the power button for 10 seconds or more. Boot into safe mode, type msconfig in the run line, disable everything that starts. Restart normally, re-enable each program untill you find the one giving trouble.

Dell inspiron 531 with vista home premium, sata DVD/hdd, wont boot past bios screen, blinking cursor in top left corner. with nothing hooked up, says no boot devices available. i have tried each one solo,...

That blinking cursor is the way in which the BIOS is telling you that Windows or any other OS is missing . Since you are getting it without even an hdd connected it means that the southbridge is defective. Which means that the motherboard is dead, replace it.

Dell 1525 lights flash when power button is pushed but no

Even if the hard drive is bad you should still see the normal bios post screens and then an error message saying "no boot device found" or something similar. If you have a monitor in your home you should attach the vga cable from it onto the vga connection on that laptop. Then turn on the laptop and see if you get a picture on that monitor. If you do then either the laptop lcd inverter is bad or the lcd itself is bad. If you don't get a picture you may have to press a toggle button or buttons on the laptop to switch to the external lcd. Usually this is Fn plus another F button on the top.

Cannot boot up Inspiron 8200

Could be a tough one. Can you get into the bios ( F8  or F10 ) while booting and check if the HDD is being recognised in the first place ? If it recognises, then check for Boot sequence. I would also suggest to try the Recovery CD that came along with computer.

Installed new motherboard for Dell Inspiron 1000- blank screen

The F5 and F8 functions are normally used by Windows to shoose between C:\, Safe Mode and normal boot.

Setup is a function of the BIOS manufacturer and it could be any key but is normally F1 or F2 as the screen says in your case.

I don't know what your specific problem is but it is a new board and sometimes they don't survive the installation due to improper handling.
The almost universal use of CMOS technology makes some of the chips very sensitive to static discharge even with countermeasures in place to protect them.
