PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Key. This is a uniqueeight-digit code specific to your SIM card. This is required when the PINnumber to unlock your mobile phone is entered incorrectly 3 times. PUK codes are found on the pack where you brought out your sim from. It simply means personal unblocking keu. When a wrong code is entered 3 times or more on your phone, it will be temporarily blocked and only the PUK code will be able to open it up.

When you bought your sim card, it came in a pack consisting of your user manual, the sim carrier and a pack which they are all packed in. On the sim card carrier where you broke out the sim card from, you will see some numbers on it, your mobile number a 8 digit code which is the PUK code and the bar code at the bottom of the card. The 8 digit is the PUK code, enter it and it will prompt you to enter a new pin code, it will ask you to re enter the new pin then the sim will be unblocked.

If you do not have the sim pack anymore, then you will have to contact the customer care center of the sim card provider. So they will give it to you. Store in a safe place so you do not forget or misplace it again.

Hi, first of all, you did a grave mistake by entering the wrong pin which resulted in it asking for your PUK (Personal Unblocking code), and 12345678 is not and never your PUK
All sim card have a unique PUK for security reason and they come along with the sim pack when bought new, but should in case you have misplace your sim pack, you can contact your service provider to ask for you PUK which will be given to you free of charge but they might likely ask you for the proof of ownership and your imei number which can be generated by dialing *#06# on your phone...

The puk comes up when the pin code has been entered wrong 3 times. To get the puk code for your sim card, you have to call the service provider of that sim card. They are the only ones who can provide you with the right puk code for that sim card.

The puk code may also have came with the documentation of the sim card, if its a prepaid card the puk code comes on the documents or on the box of the product.

if your unable to obtain the puk code, get a new sim card.

also entering the puk code wrong too many times will eventually ruin the sim card forcing you to buy or contact your service provider for a new sim card.

There are no puk code calculators or anything that we can do about it, you can buy premium assistance and you will get this same response. Theres no other solution.

PUK lock is for the SIM card itself its not tied up on the phone. So just contact the SIM card network provider and ask for its PUK unlock code if they support it.

And don't try to use the PUK lock SIM and enter incorrect code for it will permanently lock for good. Usually three try only.

just go straight 2 your sim card provider, ok? then if u are using an iphone, you can go to the net and visit thier website, there they will give u a solution.

you have entered the pin code wrong 3 times now you are required to enter a puk code to reset the pin code. 

The puk code is sim card spesific it comes with the sim card when you get it or you can get it by calling your phone service provider of the sim card to get the puk code. 


if you have entered the puk code wrong too many times you will make the sim card useless and you will have to contact your phone service provider for a new sim card, it will probably cost.
