HOW DO i BLOCK PORT 80

Port 80 is the web port. Whenever you look at a web page you are going to port 80 on the server. If you block port 80 then you won't see web pages. I am assuming it's outgoing traffic to web servers you wish to block. A standard router will have incoming port 80 blocked by default. You would OPEN port 80 if you had a web server at home.

Hello! I have a router Asus WL520g and I need to unblock port 8000,I try in router menu/NAT Settings/Virtual Server how to unblock this port but I`m unlucky, doesn`t work.I need to explain me step-by-step...

Port 8000 should not be blocked by default. It may be that your Internet Service Provider (ISP) is blocking this port on their servers. You should call whoever your ISP is and check to see if they are blocking the port.

How to block the torrent from downloading?

What you are looking to do is block ports.
BitTorrent ports operate on ports 6881-6999.

Keep in mind that blocking these ports, will not absolutely block downloads of torrents, but will block the default ports used for such activities.

To do this, the router make and model number would be required.

In consumer grade routers that most home users have access to, this is made really easy in the settings, and can usually find assistance with a 1-800 number. Someone can walk you through step by step.

Hopefully I have given you a start!

I am in a need to block my port 8080 traffic over some ports of my link sys sd 216, how could i access these ports is there any specific software to do so.

According to the documentation, The Cisco SD216 does not have any port blocking capability. It's just a simple unmanaged switch. Ports are usually blocked at a router or firewall.

Linksys SRW2008 blocking ports

blocking ports and QoS is a layer 3 function, switches are layer 2 unless you buy a layer two switch. You will need to do this on your router.

I can't send emails via Hotmail/Outlook express

1.check whther your HTML outgoing mail settings are correct
2.check whther your recipients are HTML capable.
3.Here are some factors that might affect the sending of messages through e-mail clients:
a. You may be using the Incorrect SMTP settings.
b. Your firewall software is blocking your e-mail client or the port for outgoing messages (Port 25) is being blocked by your security software.
c. Your router has a firmware setting to block certain communication ports (specifically port 25).
d. Your ISP has blocked access to port 25.
I also suggest using port 587 instead of port 25. This will help you to get around any blocks set up on port 25.
Moreover, to retain your messages on Hotmail server, check the option to leave a copy of my messages on the server on Outlook Express. For assistance, you can visit this link to contact their support team:
