Adding SD card to my ILO

I added a 2 GB SD card to my 1 GB (internal flash) Ilo and was able to download to all of the flash (the original internal 1 GB and the additional 2 GB on the SD card). However, I can not get the ILO to play anything on the 2 GB SD card (it still sees everything on the 1 GB internal flash). Any ideas on how to get the Ilo to play music that is stored on the added SD card? Thanks

What, you actually hotwired a flash card into the Ilo? Impressive. Or are you trying to get the Ilo to play music from an SD card, when you have both plugged into the computer? If you're talking about the first, then I'd say you did a good job at NOT destroying your Ilo. If its the second, then unplug your Ilo, put your headphones into the headphones jack in the computer, and play the music from your computer.

Check the owners manual for limitations on the external memory. Sometimes the MP3 player has a limit on external memory. Lets say 2 GB. Also make sure the lock switch is disengaged. Also try to reformat the player.

Not recognizing music on SD card

Not sure if you have found the solution to your mp3/SD-card problem, it has been almost a month. Obviously I had the same problem. That's how I found your question. What I did was re-format both the mp3 and SD, then loaded the SD card first and sofar so good.

My ilo mp3 of 1 gb

no you don't need the SD, its just extra :) let your computer boot up, plug in the USB cord, and you should hear that famous little "bo-dunk!" sound that tells you something just got plugged in and windows freakin' found it. then a screen may or may not come up asking you what you want to do. if so, its pretty self explanatory from there. if you don't want to use whatever it asks for, go to WMP and go to Sync. Add your songs to the list by copy and paste, and it should say its adding the files to the device. also, if you watch the screen of the mp3 player, you'll see it flash "USB Transferring", showing that its gobbling up the songs you're feeding it (in a good sense) lol. After all the songs are copied, boot up the player (you might have to unplug it first) and make sure they work. Sometimes they freeze, sometimes they dont. For me, when they freeze i just get rid of em. I don't know how to fix the freezing, i guess its just a mishap of technology...they're everywhere. Anyways, try this and let me know what happens. hope this helps :)

Downloaded music onto it then it just keeps flahing ilo

OK this is an "Internal" problem and it must be returned to the supplier/manufacturer for repair/replacement. I have seen this countless times B4.
