Help with error code SC547-01

Had some bad power fluctuations/spikes and now our Lanier LW410 / Ricoh Aficio 470W unit displays sc547-01. Also displays "needs toner" even after replacing toner. Any help identifying problem would be appreciated.

SOURCE: Error code SC305 for Photocopier Ricoh Aficio 1224c

Its a charge corona cleaning error. Try turning the power off, wait 10 seconds and turn it back on.

If that doesn't reset it, it could be the pcu, toner collected on the mechanism.

If turning it off and back on isn't fixing it, you should get a technician to look at it to see what the trouble is.

For the Aficio 1018. SC-320 is laser failure - the polygon mirror motor inside the laser has failed and needs replacing. You will need to contact your nearest service agent for repair.

For your RICOH Aficio 1013F - SC-551 is overheat in standby mode as far as I can tell. The circuitry that controls the fuser section ie manages the heat has problem. Unless its right near a source of heat like a heater or has no circulation around you machine you will need contact a repair agent for this machine also.

SOURCE: Used Toner Bottle Full Ricoh Aficio 1035P

The used toner bottle is not actually a bottle at all. Not sure what you emptied, but it sounds like the actual toner bottle itself. The waste toner is contained with in the transfer belt unit. When you open the right side cover, this is the unit that is attached to the door. It is a brown belt that provides transfer of the image to the drum and separates the paper from the drum. Remove this unit by locating the release levers on either side of the transfer unit (push both of them towards the machine). After removing, you will need to actually take the belt unit off of the transfer unit. To do this, remove the two tension springs on either side, and then take a small flat bladed scredriver and release the clips that hold it down (you will see when you get started). Once you get it off, you will see the long blade that actually scrapes the toner off the belt. Dump the waste toner out this end. You will need to shake it pretty hard. A better (and cleaner) option is to vaccum it out using the crevace tool on you vac. Just make sure you completely empty it. Now....do everything in reverse.

Hope this helps,
Chad

SOURCE: RICOH 2015 error code sc 500

Main motor/ transport motor lock/ fusting motor error.

The only thing you can do is check for any obstructions in the machine.

That needs to be looked at by a service because the problem could be a motor, a pcb, or a power supply.

It can be a lot of troubleshooting to do.

moz-screenshot.jpgmoz-screenshot-1.jpgThe problem (s) could be; defective main motor, image transfer belt out of position, belt mark blurred or absent.

A ITB belt inspection and/ or repair would be a job for tech.
Or you could just order a new PCU which would fix the problem.

Eror sc547

The error sc 547 refers to a "Zero cross signal malfunction".

This means that the applied power supply AC frequency was detected at over 66Hz or below 45Hz, and the zero cross signals are not detected within a certain period within 500 ms after the main power switch has been turned on.

Possible causes are:
- Power supply board defective
- IOCSS defective
- BICU defective

Try to reset the SC code by entering SP5810 and select 1.
Then hold down the photo mode key and the # key at the same time for at least 3 second.
Then turn the machine off and on again.
If the same issue still appears, try to replace the Power Supply Unit.
