When turn my DVD player on the screen stays black and it even can't play DVD's anymore.
The problem is as above. Also, it sometimes plays for a minute, then turns black.
Do you hear movement inside like disc rotating, if so then the switch that closest lid is damaged. This is when you fold dvd down it hits this switch to turn monitor off. It could be damaged. If there is no noise or movement then power supply has damaged or batt dead and no power goes to it from power cord.

When I turn my portable DVD player on, the screen stays black. When I put a DVD in the portable DVD player and close the lid the DVD spins around for a while and makes weird noises and then stops moving. So, the screen won't turn on and no DVD's can be played. Can this problem be fixed?

The DVD does play because there is sound. It appears the monitor died, unless there is some monitor disabling feature I can't find.
When I try to play a movie in my dvd player, you can here the movie, but the screen is clompletely white. what can I do to fix it.
