New roads have been made, my garmin still indicated old roads how can i upgrade

Basically you have to pay Garmin for new maps for your device. The do offer a lifetime map plan for some so you could possibly do that. Then when new maps are released you will only have to hook the device up to a computer and update the maps.

I have a nuvi 200 and I live in Jacksonville FL there are many new roads, new highways and I drive a lot and want to update my GPS so I dont come to a lot of dead ends. What do I do?

You can update the maps using either Garmin or other third party maps. The accuracy will depend on how old the mapping data was that is used to create the map. So you want to find out if the map in that area is recently updated. You may also find that a regional map may show the details in some areas where a larger map won't.

To upgrade using Garmin you just go to garmins website

http://www8.garmin.com/updatemaps/

You may find the map update is free or you may update for a fee or get a lifetime update subscription. The gps is hooked up through the usb cable and will download and instal the updates. It's painless (sort of ;-]) and quick.

On the screen of my satnav it says i need to upgrade because it is more than a year old , my satnav is a garmin nuvi 200

No, Your Garmin 200W is simply informing you that a update to 2010 is avalable, simply by a date code. Depending on your area you msy have new listings in your area, Coffee shops, ATM, & Hotel listings and new roads & extits
Your current map 2008 will still work just as it did. You can update your maps to the 2010 currently out from Gamins web site, I think the cost is right at $75 per unit

How do I reset the Garmin 1300t? It is locked up

turn it off and unplug it from power, then press and hold the lower right corner of the screen, then power it on. when it comes on release the power button and you will see a message similar to: do you really want to erase all your data? YES, release your finger when you see that message, then follow the on screen prompts.

Will not properly display rural areas near Greenwood,Nova Scotia ,Canada postal code b0p1n0

If you have the most updated maps installed the only other option I can tell you to try is making sure that all your avoidances are selected properly. Usually by default your avoidances are set so they don't recognize things like rural roads, toll roads, dirt/farm roads for fastest directions and speed. Look into this and see if your adviodances are turned on. If so then turn them off and see if your roads are there. If it doesn't work then you will need to connect your garmin to the PC and run an update to see if you have the latest map update.

Hope this helps

Garmin Nuvi 350 not recognizing some major streets

Sure enough it was the zoom. If it is a very small street, you have to zoom in to be able to see that you're driving on a road. Thanks for the help!
