Posiflex Jiva 8000 Machine have lots of problems specially it does not have good ventilation and ofen power adapters and hardisk fails. I strongly recommend not to take this POS system and get into trouble.

The problem with posiflex with fan models are started by the fans going bad which lead to overheating of the cpu and then spread to other components. Most of the time the power adapters and harddisk are actually ok, but the system will need some component level repair.

We recently acquired a Posiflex JIVA TP8000. When I attempt to start the system, nothing turns on.
This is due to a setting change inside the Bios. You will have to reset the Bios using the jumper options on the mainboard underneath the touch screen or remove the CMOS battery the powering the machine on.

Don't think there is any replacement card for it. The display adapter and the touch screen controller are on the same card. You can't use off the shelf vga card to replace it

Your LCD probably has a bad bulb...if it does not get brighter within an hour of being on...I would suggest you buy a refurbished orused terminal..or new one.
