Sofware i have a mp4 chinese player this is not running i want to reinstall the software of this mp4 player first i hold the start button and connect the pc then mp4 player require usb driver of this how can i found the usb driver & software

there should be an optioon for changing text in the menu but im assuming that you cant read it ... so lets try this method goto the manufaturers website and download the software and the latest firmware and try reflashing the mp3 players software with any luck the default will be english

My RCA Pearl gave me the AAC firmware message with some files until I followed all the troubleshooting instructions that popup when running the firmware update software. The firmware with AAC upgrade is here.

Follow these instructions and it will work:

run the firmware update software software,
reset the player by removing the battery or holding the power button for 10s for players with internal batteries,
hold the play button while inserting the unit into usb,
release the button once the software changes from "searching" to "initalizing",
check the box to format the data on the player,
and click start.

When I did this update without formatting, the aac fix did not work. I

that mp4 player's virus might have spread and corrupted certain files... Chinese Mp4 Players often contain viruses that are type: worm. you're going to have it reformatted... or the best, get it replaced. yours might have the worm type virus. So good luck!

Get a hold of tech support most of the time they will email you the software

Make sure the hold/lock switch is not engaged. If you are running Windows Vista, you need to get the upgraded software from Philips website. If all else fails:
Triple Reset for Philips’ GoGear:

Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.

It is a chinese mp4 player. A fake Sony. I replaced the voltage regulator IC, small 3 pin smd salvaged from a bad mp3 player. It is a 3 volt regulator. After this it is good again.

my chinese mp4 is not turning on. i am just reset it and now it is not turning ON. when connent to charger it get show power light ON but their is no display. if its software is corrupt then please send the driver CD to reinstall again.

there is no current soloution, there is a virus on the net that completly wipes all information off mp4's including the driver files, repair files and mp4 player files.
the only temporary way to fix it is to either find another mp4 and copy the sofware off that and install the divices from the copied folder, or somehow download the files off the net.

Try resetting the player. There should either be a button for that (possibly on the back) or holding certain buttons together may prompt it. Check your player's user guide as it will certainly say how to restart it. If you can't find out how to restart it, try disconnecting the battery.
