do you wan't t to get into BIOS ? .the default password can possible be ADMIN i guess worth a try.

Unplug PC, then re-attach. Power connectors are interchangeable as long as they fit. Many power supply's don't even mark them. Meaning you can use anyone. Including any spares for later expansion.

I'm assuming this is a Finder window. In Finder, press Apple-option-W just before you shut down the computer. This will close all Finder windows; they will should not open when you start up the computer unless they were open when you shut it down.
If it's not a Finder window, you will have to deal with whatever application is being told to run at startup. Without knowing what it is, I don't have enough information to tell you more, other than to suggest you go to your User Accounts in System Preferences, click the Login Items tab and either check the Hide box for that application, or remove it from the Login Items list.

your dell needs a network adapter card or wireless card installed is that the case(look in b ack)

if no wireless, then it needs an ethernet cable plugged into modem/router from cin bell and then in back of dell

Plug an ethernet cable from the router into the ethernetport of a computer and type in the router's ip address in the browser. For example the ip address will be something like 192.168.1.1

Once you have the correct ip address ( you can google your router'smanufacturer for the ip address if you don't know it), then the routers guiinterface will open up for you to configure the router. It will ask forthe user id and password. Most times this is the default password set bythe manufacturer unless whoever installed your router changed it. You canalso google your router's manufacturer for the default user id andpassword. In fact you could go to the router's manufacturer's website andlook at the manual for your router which will have the ip address, userid andpassword.

Once you are in the router you can go to the Wireless Settings and turn on the wireless and set a password for it.

You have to be on the Admistrator ACC. and so you must know the password to change settings on your pc.

Check you Power Supply. This is the commonest form of spontaneous failure.
