One bulb being out is not the fuse being bad. If you replaced the bulb and it still wont light then it is the wiring to the bulb or the socket that the bulb connects to. Usually it is wire that is the ground and it is loose of corroded at the place it connects to the chassis.

Head lights on 02 cavalier low beam not working

Headlamps
The headlamps are operated when the driver places the headlamp switch in the HEADLAMP position. The LT HDLP and RT HDLP fuse in the IP fuse block, supply battery positive voltage to both the left and right headlamps. The low beam and high beam circuits continue to the headlamp switch. Depending on the position of the dimmer switch, either the low or high beam circuit will now have a path to ground. Ground is provided at G204. The low beam and high beam circuits also provide the body control module (BCM) with both low and high beam inputs. The headlamp switch includes the dimmer and the flash-to-pass switch.
If the headlight switch is left in the HEADLAMP position, the headlights will remain on until turned off or the battery runs dead.

The ground under the battery has nothing to do with the headlamps . G-204

03 bmw r1150 rt blowing low beam fuse

Hi, Joseph put in another fuse and start wiggling wires in the light circuit if your headlight is not working the first thing to check is the headlight bulb for damaged filaments then check your light circuit fuse, that being said the usual suspects are:
1. Faulty ground or power supply to headlight bulb socket.
2. Faulty hi/lo beam switch.
3. Faulty ignition switch.
4. Fuse is good but no continuity on both sides.
5. Faulty wiring between battery positive and headlight bulb socket.

Why did you replace the switch without checking the headlight bulbs first? Suggest you check the headlight bulbs, if they are good, then check the connectors, if they are good, then check the fuse box. Sometimes there is a fuse for the healights right and left. If all of that is good check your ground connections. If all of that is good, then is to basics........check continuity on the harness, ensure there is current through the connector to the lights contact.

If all of athe above is good, then I always advise to check the fuse links. You might have burned one out. They are usually located near the battery.
