SOURCE: kodak i1440 scanner error 4769

Hi the error isnt one that corresponds to a scanner error number , you should run the scan validation tool and get the error from that , having said that check the image guides are clean and undamaged this is a major cause of faults

SOURCE: Hello, My Kodak i1440 scanner is

First you need to see if the scanner shows in the device manager , if it doesnt it is likely the CPU / Main board is faulty If you can see the scanner in the device manager it has connected and loaded its firmware in this case it could be many things but the image guides are the most common issue , check them for damage especially the white area on the underside

Hello, I got A Kodak i1440. I get white lines on the documents, when scanning on grayscale, the image guides are brand new. Any ideas on why is this happening and how to fix it? Thank you

green and white continuous forms WHOOAH!! the contrast is from the grayscale scanning. nothing you can do. maybe increase the contrast but the text will probably drown out. keep experimenting. try just a black and white copy and then try scanning the copy. could be a lot of work depending on your workload. have fun

I have a kodak 4600 scanner that has an error " white patch not seen". i have tried to cleaning the imaging guides and calibration as wellthe scanner does not calibrate too please how can i resolve this.

Hello, I had a similar problem. The guides have a white stripe facing the camera (facing the inside of the scanner), the scanner uses this white stripe to define the image. If the guides are in place, and you turn the scanner off, you can see there is a black tape on one of the borders of the guide it is black on one side, and white on the other. You can take the guides off, and check if you can see the white stripe, sometimes this stripe has some scratches, or is not completely white. You can try placing a white piece of paper of the same size as the white stripe on top of the existing white stripe so that it serves the same purpose, if that does not work, you might need to take the black tape that has the white stripe on it, and try to replace it. The scanner needs that white stripe to be completely white. Hope it helps
