My iriver x20 doesn't turn on and when i connect it to my pc it doesn't read it and just stays frozen on the build library page.

I think you need to have a Windows XP w/SP1 or later and USB 2.0 port to connect to. Any older operating system/Pc will not do. Once you make the connection, simply Right-Click on the new drive letter (PC would have created for the player) and click <Format> followed by <start> .

first try to go through the iriver plus program and see if there's any tools that can help. or reformat through your computer!
try copying the system files onto something then delete all your media files usually the library is just too big....
i had this problem once and i removed the battery as it was loading and the next time i booted it, it worked =). (this is worst case scenario though, you might end up screwing up the battery)

yes this is correct, you can only have the same size memory card as what your iriver was originally. eg when I bought mine it was a 2GB so there for I could only add a 2GB memory card in it giving me a total of 4GB. if you buy a SD card of the same GB you wont have a problem

this problem seems to be common
it can happen if you dont safely remove the iriver from the computer
i havent found a fix for this problem anywhere
but ill purchace your iriver if you cant find a fix..
