Oven manual key symbol showing on digital clock and oven keeps going off

This is the keypad lock (symbol looks like a padlock?). Find the button that has a padlock symbol near it, hold down for 3 seconds, should unlock your keypad. This should be described in your user manual if not indicated on the touchpad.

So do you need a manual for operating it ?

To set the time, turn and hold the Timer knob to the clock
symbol = and at the same time turn the Adjusting knob left
or right until the clock shows the time of day. Remember this
is a 24-hour clock. Let go of the Timer knob and it will spring
back to the vertical, oven manual setting.

you have 2 buttons one pops out for adjustment the other is only a push button push the left hand one repeatedly till a red clock symbol shows at top of clock then turn right hand knob to set time wait a few seconds and clock will set itself.

Hi. You probably have to switch the oven onto manual control. Auto would turn oven on at a preset time. Is there a button with a hand symbol on it? This might be manual. Timer should show clock when in normal manual operation.

Depending on the make of oven, you have to press the buttons in a certain sequence if it is a digital one, try pressing the buttons in sequence, sometimes you have to press 2 together, and a third one at the same time,if it is a anologue timer, then make sure you can see the symbol of a hand in the display.
If you cannot get the timer of auto, then it is probably faulty.

You said, you have a key symbol that's just showed up near the digital clock, and what it seems to mean is that the ovens are 'locked in some way. They won't heat up. When we turn the dials the red light doesn't come on and we cant hear the fan. There is a reset button on there but it doesn't get rid of the key symbol. I think someone leaned on the buttons yesterday and have inadvertently locked something! Please help! We can't find the manual.

1.Try holding down the reset button for 5 seconds!
2.Then if needed turn off the power from the breaker for 5minutes and see if this resets the system.
3. Send me the Model # and I will find you a user manual too!

SETTING THE CLOCK - When the microwave oven is plugged into an outlet, the oven will display " 0:00 "

1. Press the CLOCK button; the hour digit will blink
and the clock indicator will light.

2. Press the number keys to set current hour.

3. Press the number keys to set current minute.

4. Press AM/PM to choose AM or PM.

5. Press the CLOCK button again; the display will
show the present time. After the clock has been
set, the time will appear with blinking colon,
unless the oven is cooking or defrosting.

NOTES:

- To reset the present time in the display window when the oven is off, press the CLOCK button and
reset.

- If you make a mistake when setting the time, press the STOP/CLEAR button.

- To recall the actual time while the oven is cooking or defrosting, simply press the CLOCK button
and the display will show the actual time for three seconds.
