Dryer runs for 5 minutes then stops

The dryer runs, the tumbler works and the dryer heats up. It will run for about 5 minutes then it stops. If I push the "Start" button it will not stat again but if I wait for a while the "Start" button will start again and run for about 5 minutes. What is the issue??

Dryer shuts off after a few minutes and is very hot, it will restart after it cools off and then run only for a few minutes again and be very hot.

Look in the vent line for a small disk shaped overload with two wires coming out of it. it may be bad. also check for a lint build-up in the exhaust line out of the blower. check the damper outlet going out of the house for a build-up of lint.

Breaker popped, so went and turned it back on. Now there is no heat. What could be the problem?

In your dryer behind the tumbler there are coils with insulators. up against the dryer wall their should be many holes that allow the heat to come into the tumbler. run your dryer about 3 minutes with settings on heat , then open the door and peer thru to the back while the tumbler is spinning. if you don't see part or full radiat heat. the heating coils will have to be replaced. you can purchase them from most appliance parts store. just make sure you provide the brand and model # and possibly the ser#. good luck!

Dryer runs then stops after short periods (5-10 mins)

THere maybe a thermal limit sensor gone bad. Keeps the dryer from over-heating. Located behind rear panel on most and mounted on the heat tube. Verify with volt/ohm meter if possible

Tumbler spins, heat won't go on, timer won't work

It is your operating thermostat. It controls the heat and runs the timer down.

Dryer stopping in middle of cycle but timer continues to run.

oK " It's your timer, it has to be replaced

it's not going threw all it cycles, will start but will not finish

not a big job, unscrew plate on back at the top you will see
timer , take it out and replace it

( can not stress enough that you have to unplug the electrical cord from the wall socket before working on a dryer or any appliance )
